I've played both and got pretty far in both. 203 in maple and 15x in latale. Latale is definitely a good game but the thing I don't like about it is that if feels slower paced than maple. Only because all your skills have cool downs and also the movement in latale doesn't feel fluent. I wish wonder kind or windslayer came back. Windslayer's pvp was really good for a 2d game imo.

Tried La Tale but the controls were terrible and the game was kind of boring I prefer Maple

Meh. I liked Maple more than La Tale. I get bored of both and end up playing El Sword or Dragon Saga.

Hated the controls.

The term "pay-to-win game" defines any game where a player can simply pay money to advance themselves through the game faster than a player who is not paying any money, from a similar standing point.

Maple is P2W. Everything you listed is the definition of a P2W game.

Let's not try to deviate from that fact.

The game isn't really a pay 2 win anymore. It's more of hard work. You want an easy way to be op? Pay $$ for godly equips. Or actually slow your pace. Take some time merching in FM, lvling, bossing, making your own equips (it becomes easier now with spell tracer and the new enhancement PLUS maple rewards that could give you cubes-- hopefully tho it resets every month >:o).

Wasnt a fan. To slow and clunky and the controls are a mess. Made me realize Maplestory is a lot more polished than I thought haha

I made a mechanic or meister I think, I got to like level 40. It was kind of fun, but I prefer Maplestory simply because I understand it better and it had a bigger population. Also agree with first post, if I had friends to ease me into LaTale I might have played it more.

I recently tried out LaTale and enjoyed it. I was kind of a noob tho and grew frustrated so I stopped but if I had some friends on that game that could teach me the ropes, I would have def. kept playing
