If you don't add your hyper points into then what will you add though? 3 points for the Quad star stuff leaves two for Shade Splitter since you definitely won't be using it on Frailty Curse.

Actually, that's the thing I like about Shuriken Burst because they designed it in such a fashion to make you feel like it's still useful after setting up mobs with Gust Charm. That is, until you realize the damage on Shade Splitter is FAR superior. Point being, I feel like Shade Splitter isn't much of a NL "type" of skill whilst Shuriken Burst fits in perfectly.

And I'm kind of on the fence about how Hyper Skills improve Shade Splitter further while it is almost implied that Shuriken Burst is bound to be obsolete in terms of damage.

@FinalFreedom: If you don't like using Shade Split at SH, then Shuriken Burst + Wind Talisman is a fine duo. You'll likely be leeching anyway, so you won't be the primary attackers or anything. That's also one thing I hate about Shuriken Burst where it locks on to the enemy closest to you, and the explosion dealt doesn't reach the ones behind it. It's like Arrow Bomb in a way.

I see. Well my issue is related with battleon456, I hate jumping in the middle of a crowd of monsters and using Shade Splitter, or pushing them back with Gust Charm and using Shade Splitter because the range is so limited compared to Shuriken Burst. Shuriken Burst, to me, just feels like a real NL skill because it is used well with Gust Charm. The explosion on the skill activates once it finds its first target and doesn't hit the ones behind it if they are too far away; that's where Gust Charm comes in to group everything together. Shade Splitter just seems to.. Shadoweresque to me. NLs are about distancing yourself and finding good, solid attacking ground. Otherwise if you're 2 inches away from the enemy using a long-range style weapon then why not just make a Shadower? That's what I get from it anyway.

I still use Shuriken Burst for moments when my Shade Split can't reach. An example would be the 3 heads at HT. You can spam QT, but when one of the heads has Cancel Attack on, you can use Shuriken Burst to reach the other heads in the mean time. I also use Shadow Web sparsely only when a boss has Cancel Attack on as the DoT can still be inflicted. Dealing some damage is better than dealing no damage for the duration of Cancel Attack.

I use Shuriken Burst and Shade Splitter evenly. I find myself in many situations where the range of Shade Splitter doesn't reach a mob in front of me so I'm forced to use Shuriken Burst. Its too bad there's no skill in fourth job similar to Shuriken Burst because I find it essential when playing my NL.

I do it to leech at SH. I just hold Shuriken Burst knowing it won't do damage at all. But I hate jumping in and having to use potions and trying to stay in one place.

Well i still use it along with the gust charm attack, maybe its because i removed most of my funding of my NL but it comes in handy in crowd control, on top of that shadesplit is awesome and all, but the risk of getting hit in crowded areas is almost not worth using it. shadow web...meh..sometimes i use it dosent really come in handy

Hmm thanks for the replies. How do you guys feel about Shadow Web? I tend to use it occasionally for the DoT effect, but is it worth using?

I usually just ur quad throw in mobs at lhc, but if theres like 4 close ill use shade if there far then ill use burst
