Personally, I really like it.

i can't say i liked it, honestly it was just kinda mediocre. and thankfully i haven't bothered with S2
the setting is very warmed-over and the show even admits this later by namedropping spec fiction and philosophers (which gave me a good laugh tbh) it cribbed from. Sibyl quickly reveals itself to be utterly ridiculous, to the point where i can't believe a society would ever use said system. this is less unbelievable in a fearful, dystopian sense and more a "this is hilariously bad, how did anybody get convinced this was a good idea?" the most interesting parts of all this setting stuff are the isolationism, food, and global politics that aren't the focus and thus are left unexplored.
i do like the characters, though it's disappointing because they are constrained to very typical police roles in a very typical police show. there are also a good number of episodes that feel nonessential or draggy.

i think it's a great entry level title, especially if somebody isn't already critical about media or experience wrt dystopian fiction/sf. otherwise it falls flat unless you're really into the atmosphere and edginess it has.
I honestly did not think S2 was THAT bad. Surely, it's not bad enough to warrant not watching it. I've seen far worse S2 adaptations.
Yea, but other S2 adaptations typically have a story to continue, so even if its mediocre, you typically feel compelled to finish it. (Aldnoah Zero for example -_-)

Where as with Psycho Pass, the story was wrapped up more or less at Season 1. That's certainly how it felt too, seeing as how I don't think the majority actually expected a Season 2 to happen for something that originated as an anime, and not a manga. So from that perspective, I feel its just better to not taint your mind with Season 2, because it isn't really continuing anything. Just a new storyline, and you-know-who doesn't even show up in it.

But meh. I'm personally just at a point where I've found myself watching a lot of stuff as of late, and I finally realized I can't be bothered to continue watching anything I truly find subpar.

Overall, the anime was pretty great in my eyes. S1 was definitely better than S2, which was decent.

The female protagonist looks like she tried to cut her own hair...in the dark, with some dull scissors.

Best action thriller to come out in recent memory. Can't wait for the movie to finish up the story.

I would not recommend watching Season 2. Yes, it really is that bad.

Pretty good. It felt like i was watching a more action packed Ghost in a shell. Season 2 on the other hand...not terrible but far from good compared to the 1st season. Of course i feel that if season 2 had the same amount of episodes that season 1 had, and didnt rush/destroy character traits; it would be good.

It wasn't amazing, but it was still pretty good.
I thought it was like a mix of deathnote and tokyo ghoul.

I agree that it's amazing and it deserves favorites. It never slows down or feels dull. Every episode strings together easily and introduces something new.
The second season isn't so bad. It's definitely less stellar compared to the first, but it's not too far behind. I like that it's full of minor twists and surprises. but it is a bit predictable.
Nonetheless, Shimotsuki, the new inspector, really gets on my nerves. That's a good thing though, it means the writer can reach out to the audience.

I think the bad part about the second season is that it feels dry. Tsunemori is too hardened that it's harder to relate to her. That's probably why it's predictable.
