General

can you still make an ultimate adventurer?

i made one back when they like first came out, and now i want to make another one. i'm not sure if you can anymore, though, so i'm asking here. i'm planning on making a pirate so i can get shark wave (which i kind of miss now), though i'm still deciding between corsair and bucc

so yeah, can you still make one?

UA's (Ultimate Adventurer / "UE" Ultimate Explorer): When Cygnus Knights were capped at 120, once they hit 120 and completed the final job advancement into Chief Knight status Empress Cygnus gave you a short quest line to make an Ultimate Adventurer/Explorer, this involved collecting Peridots. Upon completing this quest chain, and as long as you had a empty character slot, you could select what explorer class you wanted and the game would generate a new explorer in that empty slot and when you logged into it you had an explorer with a medal and the special UE skill was automatically there.

So, can you still make a UA which has the successor medal with the UE skill? No. It was removed when the Cygnus Knight cap was raised to 250.

- HOWEVER -

If you make a normal explorer you do have a chance to get the old skill once you hit lvl70. At lvl70 you'll get a quest called empress might which requires you to collect Lunar Dews from sand rabbits. After that you head to Evere and have a chat with the cygnus knight instructor equivalent to your job (Hawkeye for pirates for example). I forget, it's been awhile, but after that you can raise the skill level every 5 levels so at lvl75 you head back to Evere and get a new quest to unlock skill level2, same deal at lvl80/85/90 - lvl90 will give you the chance to unlock skill level 5. These quests to raise the skill level is nothing, just hunt something, collect 10 somethings and return to Evere, it's the leg work which is more painful.

So, can you get the Ultimate Explorers skill on your normal explorer? Yes. Just accept the quest at lvl70.
can I get some more information regarding this? All I know is there is this quest with the dews for the lvl 10 above you equipment unlocking.

Unless UA means something else in skill?
The Lunar Dew quest has been there ever since Cygnus have even came out; people are just referring to this quest if you want to get the UA skill; by completing this quest you'll get that skill to your respective class. Making a UA is not possible anymore and there is no way to make one anymore wither either a Mihile nor Cygnus.
NO NO NO NO, and the people saying yes have no idea what they're talking about.

There is a quest to get a UA skill on your regular explorer if you talk to cygnus though, which will still get you what you want. Do that.
No, but you can get the two skills that pretty much makes one a UA.

you can still get the class-specific cygnus skill by completing the quest.
do note, however, that dews are an extremely rare drop, to the point that the skill is nearly unobtainable.
