Default Character slots increased?
Default character slot increases from 3 to 8 on upcoming patch tomorrow. So does this mean that we will be given 5 addition character slots as extra slots we own now aren't what we got at default? (i.e. new players will start with 8 char slots. continuing players won't get this benefit or would we?)

Really, it was the most sensible and obvious thing for Nexon to do if they didn't want a bunch of complaint tickets/threads.

@iElmo: Well, in the case where you bought them in the previous 2 weeks(if you had less than 8 character slot in the first place), it would really suck. Then again, with MMOs like this one, you never know if the game will shut down the next month or not or if there will be a massive change in direction someday....
So there is no reason to complain because they could just tell the community to f*** off and not give those slots at all.
I wish we'd get 5 free slots but since they only expanded the total max by 4 slots I don't think we can expect much. Say people already had 32 slots opened, and with this new updated they would be eligible to receive 5 more slots. That wouldn't match up and I don't think Nexon would even think this far ahead.
Artasi mentioned on the forum that he thought we'd get free default slots added, but he hasn't confirmed it yet since he wasn't 100% sure.

@thallforms: thing is, it's not a year for some people. Someone could have bought 5 just yesterday. IIRC, Nexon recently had a character slot expansion price cut event as well. Your analogy is really inappropriate here.
Additionally, when the game gets cheaper that means that the value of the game has decreased. In contrast, the value of additional character slots will most likely stay the same (at 6.9k NX) despite this update. If I were complaining about this when there was the event that temporarily discounted the slots then your analogy would be appropriate.
They probably won't give anything to people that have already unlocked past 8 slots

It's like buying a game on day 1 for $60 and seeing it drop in price after a year to $10. Do you deserve a $50 refund?
Nope. If you have more than 8 you won't be getting any.

I believe they were discounted during a weekly cash shop special, but yes the actual price is 6.9k nx.
Not trying to say that Nexon really isn't going to give us those extra character slots, just being realistic here. They'd be losing out on a lot of money. But it's not like that many players spend their nx on character slots anyway.
better get a refund. i spent like 15 bucks on character slots >.<
I'm sure they'll just set everybody anybody with under 8 slots to 8, and anybody above 8 will be unchanged

Holy moly, they're more expensive than I thought. I haven't boughten any in a whole. Were they 4.9k NX at some point during an event? Anyway, yeah, I'm sincerely hoping that Nexon will add additional slots.

5 extra character slots = 6.9k * 5 = 34.5k nx
