Maplestory power creep
Do you guys think in the history of games, maplestory has the worst power creep of all time?
looking back 7-8 years ago the top players did an avg of 15k damage per cast.
But as of right now top tier players are doing 400 million damage per cast.
Which means we are doing 26,666 times more damage then the past.
I dont even know why nexon let things get this bad. 26,666 times people!
So my question is, any game out their that's worst then maplestory in terms of power creep?

You also have to remember that was 7 years ago. This game has changed immensely there is no denying that, but you also have to consider how much you yourself have changed as a person in those 7 years.

i have to agree, maplestory as of now is more of a chore now with attendance, and nexon keeps releasing stupid scrolls like 10 atk when we just had the 8 attack scrolls a while ago, they dont even give a crap about their game anymore.
@EverydayOrders: in 2006-2007, I couldn't wait to come home and play this game. Literally thought about it al the time, and lost hours in it. Nexon line of thought:
A Players need something strong to fight. Add boss:
1. Boss is too weak (return to A)
2. Boss is too strong (go to B)
B Boss is too strong:
1. Nerf boss (return to A)
2. Make new character to beat the boss (go to C)
C Character is too strong:
1. Nerf it (go to B)
2. Buff everyone else (go to A)
BONUS Jett is too weak:
1. Don't buff Jett. (go to A)
2. Forget what Jett is, but assume its some kind of Bowman and laugh at it. (go to A)

I can agree with you here for most parts. It's kinda a shame that the game is all about damage now. It's funny how people are spending a lot of effort just to see high numbers at their screen.
ppl can rage at me but this game is terrible now. Everyone just spends money to get great equips, good damage etc then you do it all over again on a different character, while you could spend $500+ then it get nerfed and you don't want to play it anymore. No better feeling than making friends at KPQ, finally hitting 30 and doing that advancement!
