That's possibly true, and in terms of what the soul can actually do, I'm inclined to agree with you, however I've managed to sell Luk, Str, and Flashy Magnus souls for around 300-400 M before. Most likely just because of how stingy Magnus is with soul shards, and how much of a pain he is to defeat for weaker players.

A normal Magnus soul isn't really worth any mesos, unless it is the magnificent version (Which is a summon skill), which is stronger than the murgoth soul and the emp soul.(Skillwise)

yeah this is right. i sold the higher level skill one for 600m,back during the soul event. im guessing it would go for at least 1bil now

Hilla souls generally don't sell. Maybe luk would sell thanks to the upcoming NW rvamp, but everyone else would be content just farming their own. Magnus, Cygnus, and Murgoth souls are the only ones worth real mesos. Maybe PB and Elite bosses if you find someone interested in collecting, or an Ephenia soul for someone looking to play a DA, but those are pretty niche.
