Laptop Help please and thanks

So i'm looking to buy a laptop, my desktop is already about ...8 years old and has been slowing down a lot. i figured it'd be a good time to clear some room on my desk and buy a laptop to replace my desktop. I really have no clue when it comes to the details of laptops like intel core and stuff like that, but i'm hoping you guys do, since this is the tech part..(right?) so basically i'm looking to buy a laptop that can run games smoothly like LoL and MS and if possible other well known games that have high graphics(you know what i mean right?) right now i'm looking at these laptopsStaples - Canada and i'd like your opinion as to which one is a good choice without breaking passing 1000$ before taxes, unless you highly recommend it. I really appreciate the time you y'all took to read through this messy wall of text and i'm looking forward to hearing from you.

have a good day~

I'll be getting a laptop (ASUS N550) later today if UPS doesn't drive past my door; I'll recommend it if it's any good.

Spent a total of 1,020 USD on it; $940 for the unit itself, and $80 for a 120GB SSD which I'll be replacing the ODD with using a caddy I have laying around. I bought this particular model because it's seldom to see a 1080p IPS laptop (with a decent graphics card) below $1,000. That, and I happen to really like the design, though a black keyboard would have accented the silver aluminum much better.

@Burning : really, dragon nest is the most demanding game? haha.
OT: thank you very much for all the time you've taken to help me. I'll go with the first choice you picked out since i highly doubt i'd play anything more demanding than DN i should be able to get the laptop tomorrow if my pay comes in ;D~ again thank you and everyone in this thread who helped influence my decision. merci~

I'd argue this offers you the best bang for your buck from Staples. I expect this laptop to run the most demanding game you listed - Dragon Nest - on Medium/High.

A more powerful (and more expensive) laptop with a discrete Nvidia GeForce GT 640M GPU. This laptop offers better gaming performance, but the price is only justified if you play more demanding games.

How much hard drive space do you want? ...enough to play said games
Are there any other games you play or want to play? elsword dragon nest, tera rising, RO2 eden eternal
What other programs do you use? ?

Do you have a preferred laptop weight? naw, maybe lighter then my desktop

Yes.
other well known games that have high graphics(you know what i mean right?)
No. When you list MS and LoL, I'm led to assume that we don't have the same perception of "high graphics" games. You're going to have to be way more specific for anyone to help you out on this one.

there was an NCIX deal, ASUS 17.3" FHD screen, 1TB, GTX760M, i7 4700MQ, 8GB RAM, 750GB HDD, $899
that was a good deal
but the lenovo y510p is worth a look
