Considering to play World of Warcraft?

Well, I've been playing WoW for a little over a year now, and it's been pretty fun.
How I started playing was, a friend of mine on maple recruit-a-friended me and I had 10 days to play for free.
With the benefit of Recruit a friend (RaF), the 2 people can gain 300% normal experience, and able to use a special summon for the other person once every hour,
but only up to level 60 for 3 months.
The 10 days of trial from the recruit a friend, however, only allows you to get to lvl 20 with a few restrictions like unable to trade.

What my friend and I did, we got to level 10 together, then he logged for the night, which stopped our 300% of experience.
Well, he logged on his main, a level 77 warrior (level cap was 80 at the time), but of course, that was his main, so he leveled up that character.
Pretty much, I felt kinda down because I thought I was going to be leveling with someone since I was new to the game.
Over time it was just excuses and excuses so I ended up leveling up on my own.
Just when I hit 80 (at the time, new cap is 85 since December 7th, Cataclysm), I was badgered to level up as many toons* as we can, since you can get 300% experience untill you reach level 60.
I didn't like that at all

Anyways, if you're considering to play world of warcraft, send me a PM and I can show you around, if you want to try it out with someone and we can actually level together and stuff.
