A friendly reminder about vouches

If someone gives you a vouch, check with that vouch to confirm the person's legitimacy.

@Green4EVER: Well known doesn't always help. Because SOME people use the "perk" of being well known to their advantage. Happens every now and then here in Bera.

It's happening to my name on a daily basis now...

@AugustRain: I have a hard time talking down to other people but yes I would like it if the people who fall for this didn't anymore, it's the entire point of a vouching system.

I don't even trust vouchers, because they could be in on it. In my eyes, everyone is a scammer until proven innocent lul.
otherwise that would defeat the purpose of vouches. who wouldn't check in the first place? lol
Unfortunately a common issue

I have some weird occurrences with scammers. People using my IGN but changing an "L" to 'i" and such and even smegaing they're selling nx or equips.
I've been approached by two people talking about them being scammed after I was mentioned as a vouch. Granted that was sometime after unleashed and then I quit... after I came back it was refreshing to notice I was just a random again. Been sticking to myself ever since.

Also... lol @ moci being used as vouch.
Matter little if the the person vouches for your trader, and you still get scammed. He then sits there with an entire alliance backing them up, cuz "he/she would never scam."

If anything, screenshot or record the whole process.
That's why you make sure they have well known vouchers or people you know... why do you think the scammer used my name?
I think VoiDue has been using you and rnoci as "vouchers" since forever, but he's a fairly well known scammer in GAZED now.
Yeah I knew it's been going on for a while, this was just the first time someone ran to me after getting scammed.
The funny thing, though, is that he sold me his remaining NX right after. lol
Well apparently some scammer's been using me as a vouch. Some guy ran crying to me about getting scammed and I just facepalmed at him for not checking with me first...

Or don't use vouches at all.
Yeah, because telling someone you're legit cuts it. After the first trade you don't need vouchers with them anymore but to start with the person you're gonna need one, no matter what.
Vouchers should compensate if the person they vouch for ends up scamming.
