How do I unequip Mechanics secondary?

I'm having trouble getting rid of my Eternal Magnum. Because I listened to the people of Basil who said that the Eternal Magnum was the item to pick. All hail the Eternal Magnum.
I think the only way is to put a new one in? I'm not 100% sure how mech's secondary works atm.
If you're trying to cube it and it won't let you take it out then you should be able to drop the eq into the cube window
I believe some classes can only unequip it after level 100, which is when you get the potential-able version. Not sure if it's like this for mechs, but just my guess
