Why is my ping so high
my ping went over 1000 in all of the games i play and it been like this for 4 days now and i tires scanning for viruses and turning off my firewall and restarting my computer and the games I play are steam games

I moved my computer into the basement maybe it broke my wifi

Spikes like that are most often caused by someone else in your house downloading or uploading huge chunks of data. It is exacerbated by any bottlenecks along the path which may be caused by modems and routers, any of which you have not specified.
It could be the internet service provider's issue, or just a matter of location (far away from company's servers).
i play insurgency tf2 gta 5 payday 2 verdun squad and it says the ping on the player list and mine is over 1000 and the game is all glitchy and stuff some times it goes back down to 50 for 5 minutes then it rises back up to 1000
What games are you playing and how do you know your ping is over "1000" in those games?
i use the wifi card in my computer and i live with 3 people and they use the internet for shoping and looking at stuff on the internet and and my internet provider is comcast and spedtest.net said my ping is 15ms and the download speed is 15.63 and the upload speed is 5.73 and my computer says the signal streanth is fair
