Will we ever get a buff?

So I was wondering, will Mercedes get a buff in the near future?
They probably are my favorite archer class, but I am a closet damage hore, so I am really put off by this class, even though I really want to play it.
My question is : When will Mercedes get a buff to make it competitive with other Archers?
I really don't like the playstyle of Wild Hunters or MM/BM.

@PotatoCat: I'd say otherwise in terms of WH's current DJ. It has a delay of 720ms... I don't see how they are on par at all. Yes they will be getting improvements however from their current DJ to something with less delay and have an extra option to jump another instance. Demon's have double jump too and should you have used it you'll know why no one does. I wasn't talking about mobility.. I was specifically talking about classes with DJ(i.e. Demons, Wh and Xenon). Xenon being a new character has the jet booster jump that all the newer classes have.

Now, there's no arguing that Mercedes has a shorter jumping distance compared to the others and the newer types, I just didn't like the way you said "worst"(it has far more negative denotations than it should to compare an already convenient skill). However, I will be repeating myself that DJ is adequate for Mercedes' current skill set. She doesn't need anymore distance on the jump or otherwise she'll make other skills useless.

As for mobbing, "supposed to" what? This is nearly 2014 and obviously there has been a change in style. We have a new combo and there's also the old combo(which I'll comment on next). Period.

RR+RM is not "flat-out" useless. Not everyone is exorbitantly funded as you. Some still need this combination to safely play without dying with the cost that their DPM is not particularly efficient.

I'd say I'd be grouped under the "funded" players and I still use RR. I still use LT. I still use gust dive. The only thing in their combination I don't use RM, which had being replaced with SR. The removal of cooldowns have provided alot more variation in playing style than to limit it. Obviously with different funding and different players playing them some may feel useless but that doesn't mean what you think is what others think.

I understand and acknowledge that I am VERY loyal to my class and therefore I am biased and from someone like you who has experienced other classes the Mercedes class seem lacking but I think you too are seeing things too closely. Step back once and see the class as a whole, and not compare the single elements.

SR is your main mobbing skill and chains well with glide blast, LT, gust dive and practically anything that you can cast while in mid-air. The only time you would use the rushing/i-frame combination is to make use of the i-frame and place such as TP Golems(which most people would avoid anyway).[/quote]

WH double jump is on par with the Merc version and will soon be changed to a triple jump. BaMs are mages, Mechs shouldn't be able to (but they're a mess anyways), and the Demons have a glide. So yeah, I'd say it's one of the worst compared to the the Novan/CK/Adventurer/Xenon versions. I'm not saying their mobility is the worst, I'm saying that their version of flash jump is.

As for the combos, that's exactly my point. Merc mobbing was supposed to revolve around using RR to chain attacks together, since each job has new combo attacks and passives that are supposed to boost RR so it's continually relevant. Unicorns, SR, and LE were probably designed to be specialized openers/finishers, judging from when they had cooldowns. Now Mercs spam SR + whatever can be used in the air because the old combo attacks are flat-out useless.

Really? one of the worst?(have a look at the poor resistances) I'd say it's pretty adequate with a short delay on it too. Jett hypers are lolbad. Among the worst in the game as far as I know. Low cooldown map nukes are not good for all that much, especially when server lag makes the actual cooldown ~50% longer, and their hyper buff is just some survivability which most classes have built into their skills. And if the update notes aren't lying, their Rapid Fire Reinforce isn't even the standard 20%, it's 10%.

On topic, one of these days I'm hoping for a 5th job in which Mercs get the power that comes to mind when you think of a legendary hero that is the queen of the elves.

Until then she's just gonna have one of the worst flash jumps in the game and useless signature combos that hurt your dpm.

Sadly with RED and even before then, Mercs can't compare at all. Even before, my NL friend with similar funding had straight out double my damage output. And now take a direct comparison with BMs, who now have Arrow Turret. Ishtar's was designed to be about the same as hurricane, with just twice the speed and about half the damage. However with essentially an extra hurricane, BMs, and we can extrapolate to the rest of the adventurers, have had a huge (and deserved ) boost in power. Even with our high attack speed our very low %s on attacks can't make up for it. (Mercs have literally half the dps of half the classes in the game (and we're not the only ones! )) Of course it's not just all about the hurricane comparison, as Mercedes have quite a bit of built in %boss and pdr which help a bit.

I absolutely love Mercs too but had no easy way to upgrade any more to take on new challenges, so I've been co-maining a Marksman. (And have been far outdamaging my Merc since the mid 100s) The FLY update gives us a small boost, but nothing particularly significant. Iirc it doesn't even affect our main bossing move Ishtar's.
We were designed as bossers, with Ishtar's and our built in boss and pdr (and we even had double snipe once <3), but the combo mobbing is my favorite part about the class that made it unique, though spammable spikes just kind of took away from that.

I just wish they'd buff our base damage and make comboing moves the most effective way to mob Until a new patch in KMS comes around, though, we'll just have to keep to the fun side of the class.

The got a buff pre-RED and they are getting some slight buffs in FLY. They are already competitive with the other archers.
