Outlaw/Sair Summons--Do you have to use a gun?

I'll make this short and sweet:

Do you have to have a gun equipped in order to use any of the following skills:
Octopus, Gaviota, Homing Beacon, Roll of the Dice, Wrath of the Octopi, Pirate's Revenge, Air Strike, Hypnotize, Bullseye

The reasoning is that Ultimate Adventurer's Shark Wave will work with any weapon; I'd like to see if any of these skills would work with those weapons (Specifically Swords, Spears, and Polearms) to see if there's any reason to make an UA Str Sair over a UA Bucc.

@madde:
No, I'm not using guns. It's pretty self explanatory. I'm gonna use Spears, Polearms, and maybe Knuckles if I decide to add a little dex.

Can you confirm this as a solid fact? I'd hate to make a UA Str Outlaw only to have the skills not work on me.
Wait... r u talking about when ur not using a gun? like when ur heneho3ing or something? O.o, or r u just not gonna use bullets...
@GunDelHel: thank you thats helpful but that makes me question is making a regular sair UA worth it =/
Compared to regular sairs you have a skill that will be useful to you well until level 90 and you bypass the annoying 1~50 levels effectively allowing you to get Mastery, Critical, and some booster to enjoy. Invisible shot? Who cares, you have sharks. And sharks doesn't consume bullets.
Sure, Sharks loses it's appeal--where in a UA Str Sair it never loses it's appeal; but that's how the cookie crumbles.

@ninjaKC:
It's based off your range. Here's a picture of it at level 60, I was dealing upwards of around 16k with crits..
@JustUseTape: ouch well i meant how do they work like describe i have a general idea of what i str sair is a sair that main stat is str i'm not retarded
Lol.
A Str Sair compares to a Brigand (Bandits who play like warriors).
You add into Str, forget Dex exists, uses Common Weapons (preferably Polearms and spears) and if you choose to get some dex you can also use Knuckles. However, until the end-game equips, you're better off with Polearms/Spears due to their higher base attack. End game, Knuckles can be a slight bit better due to their better damage formula, but their base attack is still much lower and it's a pain to get them out-damage polearms/spears.
Skill wise you have Sommersault Kick, FF(If you're using knuckles), Wings, Critical, Shark Wave (Main attacking skill and main reason to be a UA Str Sair over a regular Str Sair), Octopus, Gaviota, Dice, Wrath of Octo, Air Strike, Maple Warrior, Pirate's Revenge, and you can always throw on a statless gun long enough to use Bullseye and then switch back to increase your damage output on bosses. You can also mount the Battleship and use a few skills whilst on it, but I'm not sure if Shark Wave works on it or not...

However, due to no mastery it's recommended that you not try this build and then complain about it. That would be like walking into the rain without a jacket on and then complaining about getting wet.
no need for UA, normal adventurers can have sharkwave too
I'm aware but it's currently glitched.
Besides... no one would go through that kind of trouble for such skill, at least, they should.
play like a real outlaw. with guns, show your pride. if your just sharkwaving; that will give you a disadvantage in control for when your a corsair.
@Halfhearted: Yeah, I know that. My problem was that I completely forgot that he was making a UE Corsair and he had Sharkwave as a possibility. Thanks

I believe that it was Inbomb that I remember. Are they any videos of Tutoriai? And are you going to post any videos of your new STR UA if you make one?
No videos of Tutoriai as it is right now; though I'm considering it. The only reason I haven't quite yet is that I'm kind of the middle ground of the Chief Brigands. There is one a few levels higher, and Adam a few levels lower has a much better damage range than I do. The only difference is that I have PP and maxed ME where he doesn't yet. As soon as I redownload some video making programs though, I'll definitely get on it. However, I've much more important matters to attend to right now.

There WILL be a video of the UA Str Gunslinger It's a must.

@TLK:
Go look at the post I made in the Bowman section about Wind Piercing last night. It's full of "I doubt it"s. They really ruffled my jimmies.

You got lucky Zach.
No threads I make asking about things liek this ever get answered, or they get answered with " [x] class doesn't use [x] stat, lol." or "just make a normal [xclass]".
Whatever happened to your Pure STR/Dex Chief Bandit?
Which one?
InBomb was "Lukless" and is at level 83 or 84, I can't remember. Since the Big Bang destroyed his stability, he just sits around collecting dust and looking cool with his Maple Umbrella.
Tutoriai is Str/Dex and Uses non-daggers and is at level 100. He's got crazy range and can technically hit higher numbers than regular bandits with Steal/SP and Meso Explosion. His main method of training is Steal/SP+PP until a pool of mesos crowds the map; then BOOM. I love the new ME formula.
Also, here's a video of a friend of mine with his Str/Dex Non-dagger Chief Bandit (Or Chief Brigand for short)

I know man, but you always gotta make sure with things like this! It's serious bidness. lol

@Jashun:
And we have more confirmations! Awesome!

Three agreements is enough for me; in a few days my DW will get those last few levels for 120 and I'll make an Ultimate Str Gunslinger. Thanks a lot guys, you've been terrific help!
