Stolen Phone

Hi all,

So a bunch of friends came over and my phone was taken (great friends, I know). It's a Samsung Galaxy S4 and I haven't installed any tracking apps on it. My friends are smart and whoever took it probably factory reset it and took out the SIM card. All I have is the IMEI number, is there any way to track it with this? I have already cancelled my phone plan so I won't get charged. I'm considering going to the police if all else fails. I've already posted to some other phone forums and was wondering if Basil had any phone geniuses out there. Thanks in advance!

Then perhaps you should ask your friends to give your phone back? It could just be a prank they're pulling on you, and if they are truly your friends they would give your phone back.

how is your phone not with you at all times, like me ;p
This is what my cousin in law did when somebody stole her iphone at school.
Her dad went to visit her class and told everyone that they had a GPS on the phone and if they dont confess, he will bring the police to their house.
(Complete bluff)
The girl who took it quickly confessed and said it was at her house.

Another time someone stole a phone during a class I was in. Everyone knew it was this guy named steven tho. But they checked him and everything, the place it was in his underwear or something. Then a week later, I guess he felt guilty and left it somewhere in the school. Someone found it, and his email was logged in hotmail or something.

did u have your gmail attached to the phone? There is a way to see where the account last accessed the internet so if your friends did take it, it may have synced at their house or something. You'd know its them because an ip address is attached to each listing.

You've such great friends.
Plus, who says it's not somewhere in your house? I tried to find something for days and just when I gave up, I just found it.

OT: You've such great friends

Sorry, but we're all sorts of incompetent.
