Your damage is decent.
It's the lack of mastery, meaning that your max hit could be 10mil like anyone else with the right skill, but whereas most people's minimum damage could then be 8, yours would be around 5.
We don't really have any good bossing skills, Shinsoku sucks unless you're funded beyond oblivion. Hitokiri Strike + Facon's Honor is what I've found to be the best combo.
