Cubing during Miracle Time?

So I have 50knx and I was wondering what cubes I should buy.
I currently have 11 epic items that I want to tier up to Unique and all my bonus pots are rare.
Should I buy 3 packs of 11 red cubes for 30k NX + 1 pack of 12 bonus cubes for 19.8k NX or
5 packs of 11 red cubes for 50k NX and solely work on the main pots for gear?
Thank you all and happy mapling~

Mathematically and Statistically no, general gambling sense for enjoyment yes. To elaborate, let's say 5% tier up chance with reds and you buy 20 cubes vs 10% tier up chance with 10 tries. With each Red cube use the chance to tier up does not increase, it remains at a constant 5% chance to get it. With blacks though, even though you have less tries (half) you still have double the chance that you will get a tier up. At an extreme case let's take a look at if the rates were 50% for reds...that means 100% tier up chance on blacks. Would you rather have 20 chances of 50-50 gambling or 10 attempts of knowing it'll tier up? I'd rather go with the less amount (of tries but knowing it'll tier up).

But you have to consider this is maplestory and RNG is RNG. Some people will always think more = better, scientific folks will go with the better probability. All I can say is, good luck with your cubing as the actual %'s have never been and probably never will get released.

Hahaha this game is all luck. Dropped 2 packs of black cubes on my emblem to get nothing but used 2 pack of reds and tier'd my secondary, badge, emblem

I have another question, how much better is the chance of tiering up with blacks vs reds?

The only reason to use black cubes is if you may want to keep the potential on your gear. If you just want to tier up and don't care what you get until it's legendary, then just use reds.
I've used over 800 red cubes, only tiered unique to legendary twice. Less than 100 black cubes and I tiered 4 items from unique to legendary. I don't really have proof but that's my experience.

Black cubes have a much better tier up chance than reds.

Don't get bonus cubes now. Work on main pots. I would recommend the blacks to tier up and reds for stats as well however that's a good chunk of your $50 already so it's up to you.

I would personally get the 5 packs of red cubes, theres no need to worry about bonus pots until your regular main potential is finished

If I'm remembering correctly, the standard a few of my friends follow is to use Black cubes to rank up and Red cubes to reroll stats. Hasn't failed me, but I tend to go the cheaper option instead. *shrug*
