Love mercedes but hate combos...
So far every time ive come back to Maple i'm always drawn to mercedes however always hate that they require combos. Have they made any recent updates that simplifies this system/ makes easier combos? Or can i just use strikes constantly or is that completely unaffective.
Also I plan on doing this in Reboot, how do mercedes fair in reboot? Thanks guys!

I enjoyed my Mercedes for awhile... Then Jett took my heart away, and Mercedes was left in that corner for the next 20 years until I actually get her to 200. Assuming if my mind doesn't wander off to another.
I have no idea if it's available in Reboot's cash shop but if you can, you should get that auto hp pet skill for your Mercedes and stock up on potions.

You can CD cancel by spamming LE + Leap Tornado together. Makes for simple training.

I was attracted to combos when I first started my Mercedes because it was strong enough to one-hit lower leveled enemies while providing nice mobility, but at higher levels it was not feasible. Nexon has been updating Mercedes to emphasize more on combos (as well as just about every other class).
Don't need combo if you one shot
*gasp* how can you call yourself a mercedes?!
@consecrate: Arcade fighters are fine. You're fighting a single enemy. But when you have to constantly grind with the same set of combos, it's going to get tedious.
Also, funny thing you should mention fighting games, since Mercedes' english VA also does the english voice acting for Noel Vermillion/Mu12/Nu13 from Blazblue and Cerebella from Skullgirls (also, the VA is also the casting director for Skullgirls).

kinda miss no cooldown Royal Spikes spam, it was really pretty and we didn't need to get 2 pixels away from death everytime we trained. oh well, combos are here to stay, no matter how clunky they seem compared to some other combo classes (Hayato, TB)
Really? l believe most people (me included) enjoy Mercedes BECAUSE of the combos and stuff, it makes playing the class a lot more fun.
ln order to effectively train, comboing moves together is needed, but in a way l guess you don't have to. Just run around and use Staggering (?) Strikes and Lightning Edge.
Also, yes, in Reboot Mercedes is extra squishy, l find myself dying in 3-4 hits from full health all the time so be prepared for that if you're playing in Reboot.
Mercedes are already pretty squishy in other worlds, but in reboot they die sooooo easily it's ridiculous
