@ImCrunk I've played ice lightning and fire poison both. I enjoyed ice lightning but fire poison won my heart.

thanks alot guys, the tip about trying it without funding will most def be used ,
Also i will take you up on your offer eventually @cherrytigers , kinda want to get a chaos vell up first xD

The i/l is the only mage i've never tried playing and i really do not like fire mage as a whole xD
So thanks alot to everyone and i think my mind is made up, i will evantually switch to i/l if i like the gameplay, and completely make the switch if i get some untradable gear ready for it xD

Fast attack speed like you're used to on your BaM.

Jump+teleport is excellent and frozen orb allows for easy high damage. You'll have a good time playing ice lightning.

Con: Chain lightning literally cannot mob. It also cannot reach very far so you'll be getting close but you're a BaM so you're used to it.

Pro: However, chain lightning is excellent in hellux as it hits mobs on the bottom.
Pro: If you have a fast computer, frozen orb is really nice to use in dojo as it gives you preemptive hits.
Biggest pro: For bossing, ice lightning has elemental resist which allows you to ignore damage reduction from boss defenses such as hard hilla/cvel/cra/hardmag etc. You'll dramatically increase in damage output.

From one fellow youtuber to another, if you need help with ice lightning, private message me and ask me about certain bosses/situations and I'll do my best to assist.

you'll either love it or hate it.
but if i had to choose between bam and i/l (assuming your main is a bam), i'd stick with bam since they're more versatile than i/l and i find them much more fun. you have to be careful with i/l sometimes since it's easy to die if you don't pay attention.

From my own experience from switching from a bam to f/p then i/l, bossing got a lot easier as I didn't have to be in the boss's face all the time. Hellux is a lot easier as a i/l. My damage also doubled but that doesn't matter if you're already close to cap. If you plan on moving your bam gear to a mage then you'll 100% cap on everything.

I've always liked playing I/L but I can never find myself playing past level 13x, I just get bored and stop... =/
Firstly, the animation. You'll either love it or you'll hate it. The colors... are ridiculously blue. Like they hurt my eyes. It got to the point where the reason I quit was because of the blue. But, every now and then I'll look back at some of the skills and say to myself, "wow... that's really freaking beautiful." Most people like it, but I can't stick with it for too long.

Secondly, the skillset. It's a great stand-alone character, as well as a party character. It's got a bind - which you should only keep at level 1 in order to have the lowest cooldown time - and it's also able to boss sufficiently well on its own. Plus, I hate having to deal with mobs that are too far apart... it makes me so mad to have to move. I'm such a lazy person but tapping teleport to move from one place to another on my F/P kind of bothers me sooooo... Chain Lightning FTW? Plus it's the only chaining attack that looks nice. Evan's Blaze looks all glitchy, and it's slow. Luminous's Reflection is really slow and it looks so cluttered and messy to me. CL is clean and bootifur and it's just ugh -drools-
I/L is definetely one of the more pretty characters. Really Like the look of them

Try it out without funding. If you like it, make the switch. Other people could give you their reasons for liking the class, but I'd recommend developing your own opinions yourself.
