I always have trouble at this part. The poison/slime thing sometimes kills me or pushes me into a tail How do you survive at this part?

Pet auto HP will keep you alive throughout the poison. If you think your pet missed a heal, just manually use a potion. Increasing your HP with sets/links/dHB also works well.
The others are correct about the mihile link, it will keep you from getting kbed into tails.

If you have enough DPS, you can just run away during this part. Or like the first poster said, use Mihile stance.
