What I'm hoping to get from this build is to strengthen the attacks that I'll be using most first. Then by level 170+ I'd be going to Stronghold to train, so I'll add onto Barrier and High Def to compensate for the lower than the average warrior's (because of the lack of a passive HP boost skill) HP of an Aran. The reason I have Hero's Will maxed last is because I don't think I'd need a dispel since I don't like to boss.
***For those that argue about the damage difference between spamming FT and using OSFB, I don't care >.<. I just find OSFB easier to use so I would be doing more damage if I kept my 100+ combos as opposed to risk spamming FT without a controller and accidentally using Judgement.***

The level 120-150 skill build and the skill caps are based off of iguy's guide.

I don't plan to solo CZ or VL though.

If I did, it would require hundreds of dollars of funding ANYWAY, and a couple MW30 books would be nothing in comparison.

I find it weird how a smart guy like you would dismiss it as "BS".

@ all this BS about not maxing MW above me: You 'need' maxed MW if you plan to solo bosses. I made that mistake by not maxing it >_>

@Zenissia: To me, CT is a valuable skill. I am often called upon to help my guildies or alliance in glitched LHC maps, and if I can down half the HP for nearly all the crockies on the map in a second, it's pretty strong.
CT also helps a lot in PQs and MPark -- and when I'm in PQs and MPark with other fellow level 170+, someone else always has MW30 already.

Maybe if I actually ever buy and pass MW30, I'd SPreset out of CT. Maybe only after I hit 200.
In general, though, I agree that MW is a more valuable skill than CT except in the rare cases I just outlined. I'm just happy to mooch off someone else's MW for now. Like I said, when I hit 200, if I decide to keep playing, I'll reset if needed.

The point is, you can treat MW like a core, must-have skill, or you can treat it like a peripheral support skill, and both perspectives have merits. At 150+, every character should know what they want anyway and be capable of making their own decision.

@ImsObOrEd: Well maybe prices will be different by the time you're 170 and need to be thinking about whether to leave CB, CT, or MW unmaxed.

Anyway, I'm leaving MW at 19 and with the money I save from not having to buy MW30 (which still costs 800m in Khaini) I will simply get an extra 9 or 10% str, which more than makes up for what I'd miss out on with MW19.

If I train, my friends all have MW30. I would rather contribute CB30 to help out rather than just be another party member with the same MW30 buff.

Leave High Mastery at 19. You get maximum mastery increase at 19, only one point of attack at 20.

This looks like a standard build except that some FS comes first. I'd probably just straight max FS as fast as I can at 150 instead of dual raising it with FB. By then you'll be bossing, and non maxed FS isn't fun. Although it might be different now since the cap is 20, I haven't seen the KB% at level 10 yet.
Note that if you get decent Combat Orders you should get MW30 opposed to 29 as CO will bring it to 31, which will get you 16%.
Actually decent CO only brings it to 30 if you have MW29, because it adds 1 skill lv. Regular CO on the other hand, WILL bring it to 31. So you were half right!

Thanks for all your opinions, but I guess I should have updated my basil character. I'm level 130 atm and the SP I have in are 1 OS, 1 FB, 1 SS, 10 FS, 10 HM, 1 AFA and 9 unused skill points, should I turn back and buy a bunch of SP resets or try to modify the build from then on. Also @phoenix are you suggesting I make MW level 19? or to max it?
Sorry for wasting the above posters's time Q_Q

Hey hey, I have sausage fingers and I manage quite well ^_^

First of all, Don't bother with freeze standing until you plan on maxing it. It's mostly useful for bossing. If you plan on using OSFB you can manage to always jump+attack into the monster to compensate for KB. Also, don't bother with getting tempest so early unless youre like super funded with 200k+ range at that point. Also you should max MW.

My suggestion:

At 120:
1 SS, 1 OS, 1 FB

Get used to the feel of OSFB and the feel of FT spam.
Don't be a complete noob (like some other arans out there) and learn to FT spam PROPERLY where you DON'T accidentally hit judgment. Arans are tragically not for people with fat sausage fingers. Make -distinct- keystrokes. Don't roll your finger, don't attempt to hit both up and down at the same time.

If you really can't manage FT spam after an hour or so of practice, maybe take a break from maple and see a doctor. Or maybe PM me and I'll tell you different ways of programming a macro so that you can set up-down-attack to a single key or controller button.

If you decide to use FT as your main attack (which will be by far the fastest way to train at level 120-150), max SS immediately. Then max HM and AFA as soon as possible, then FS. If you decide you don't really care about having a good attack skill until much later, feel free to max HM, AFA, OS and FB FS in whichever order the books are available to you -- if you choose OSFB, dps is not a huge concern and build order shouldn't really matter to you.

Don't be so quick to dismiss Hero's Will. The quest is very long and I suggest starting it early. Also, level 1 in Will is extremely useful if you PVP.

In most cases, the build order for 4th job should be:
Offensive skills > Defensive skills > Support skills > Optional skills.

For Arans, the optional skills are CB, CT, and MW.

With level 19 in MW, you would lack an extra 5% str given by level 29 MW. In my opinion, it should be easier save the 1-2 billion mesos for even more %str to put on your gear. This allows you to max both CT and CB which are decent support skills that are great for some uncommon (but not that rare) situations.
