Flygon you're a very funny person. If the weapon you are trying to scroll is fairly cheap to obtain, then scrolling with primes is actually around the same cost as scrolling with spell traces.

For me fafnir dbg are 10m each, I can buy like 30+ of them. Then I proceed to start scrolling them with primes, using nothing. At some point I find some dbg that has succeeded a lot in a row, maybe around 5/6 worked and not destroyed. Not unreasonable since there is a 2.7%+ chance of going 5/6 or 6/6 I will clean slate the best one then proceed to use protection scrolls starting at that point. If unlucky I will use 4/6, but lets say I get to the point of 5/6.

Cost to obtain +5 dbg, around 500m. Cost to finish it, 12.5 prot scrolls and 75 clean slates 10%.

Then compare to using spell traces. Assume you have level 50 diligence and 15%s work at a 20% rate.

If you buy a lot of weapons and start spell tracing them, you would be lucky to even get 3/3. Less than 1% chance. But assume you somehow get +3. Then you would need an additional 350 clean slates 10%.

275 clean slate 10%s are worth around the same as 12.5 prot scrolls + 500m.

@flygon123445: Some people find creating the best items in the game to be fun and rewarding, because you have an item with better stats than the person next to you. Not everybody takes interest in the same things as everybody else. Who said anything about wanting 2-2m range? Not everybody cares about that, and others set their goals a lot lower. Also, judging from the amount of cancerposting you do here on basil, I would say that maybe [b]you[/b] should invest in some e maple friends to help you out in that area bud.

whats rewarding about having to spend lots of time and money for a virtual item?
and what will you do when you reach the 2-2m range? solo end game bosses for minimal profit? or will you find e maple friends and fill the lonely side of your life?

@flygon123445 and not everybody wants to use spell traces to make their weapon. Some of us want the highest stats possible because we want the satisfaction of priming an item completely, it's rewarding. Not everybody plays the game the same way that you do, and criticizing others for not doing what you do is dumb.

@FwuffehStarz: but 10 15's spell traces = 91. its like 15-30 additional weapon attack, depending on the items base value. but hey, go ahead and waste your time with primes and then having to spend tons of money on protection scrolls, i already perfected my weapon with spell traces, took me only 3.7bil
