Hell Gollux tips?
Today I had a shot at solo-ing hell gollux, but I failed due to not being able to kill the jewel on time. I'm assuming that means my DPS is too low?
I have approx 1.1m buffed, 173% boss damage and 86% pdr. The first stages went smoothly, no deaths or hits at the bottom part and as a NL, the second part was also a piece of cake. Then at the last part, I found out that I completely forgot about the limited time you're given to kill the jewel.
Any tips on how I can finish without bringing another member along? I'm still working on my range, but it only goes up gradually. And as I don't buy NX, suggestions like ''Buy 100 cube packs'' ain't gonna help me.

Thanks for the responses, once again. I was already using quite a few extra buffs, so I suppose I'll just need to increase my range first.
My friend was soloing hellux with a 1.3m range clean with an apple and maybe guild buffs as a nightlord. As most other people said your dps is probably a bit low atm. Ways you could increase it without funding would be using any rune besides recovery, mpe pots, guild (flag race) buffs, onyx apples, and gollux penny shop buffs. You will need ~1.5m range buffed to clear so depending on what buffs/pots you were already using you might just not be strong enough yet. Best of luck
NL is actually one of the easiest Hellux solo classes because the flying stars hit the mobs even when you are on the top platform. You just need to have enough DPS to kill the gem within the time limit, no need to worry about anything else.
Well, if you need just that little bit extra, and you haven't already done it, you can always leave the map before you finish the eyes, go hunt for a damage increasing rune, pop that and run back in for that little bit extra dps. Its how i finish with a 1.1m range 200% boss Nw with a comfortable amount of time left
Theres always the option to switch the NW like i did
If you were able to get most of your hits in, you should be able to kill it.
Always make sure, HT + Guild Buff + Red+Green Potion on for a sure kill and Buff before you fight the Jewel. Don't waste time buffing and stay at Jewel.
Thanks a lot for the comments. It was deeply disappointing to see how far I made it and yet was unable to finish, sad to hear the only way to change this is to improve my gear. I suppose I'll start working on that and go in with a party for now.
@ChickenS0up: I try to refrain from using gollux potions though, cause it glitches me when the potion disappears.

so yea, try a run with runes/alchemy pots/gollux pots/soul summon and see if you can hit that much dmg
You basically need 2mil to solo the gem in time.
NW Can handle it around 1.5-1.6mil, which means you probably don't stand a chance under 1.8mil.
i was hitting that amount before and i barely made it (within seconds) not using a rune. with a rune, i had 10-15seconds.
I had it on stream to prove it. cause people are in disbelief.

I can manage hellux by doing 27-33m per line with about 20 seconds to spare

i also made a thread about not being able to kill hellux as a NL
u need to hit 35-40m which is about 2.5m range ( i have 15.5k luk, 92% pdr, 234% boss, 90% crit rate, + Speed infusion, + guild buff+ dojo gloves) (dojo time is 5:41 in scania)
and i am able to solo it with about 20 seconds to spare.
If you want proof, i can stream it on twitch live tonight from 9 pm est to 11 pm est for you to witness.

NW needs 1.5m range to solo
As a NL, you won't be able to do it at your range. Even a NW with jump attack will struggle at your range.
You can try using a rune to increase your damage. Just leave the map right before the eyes are dead and rebuff/activate rune. There's not really any other tips that I can give since the time constraint is the only requirement and is basically dependant on the person's dps/range.
Since you are unable to recube then I would suggest you either ask someone for a carry or just do hard gollux until you get more range.
