How is the second arc good? There was absolutely no reason to make Asuna the focus of the anime all of a sudden- the makers probably got tired of making Kirito the center of attention with his cliche overpowered-ness, so they felt the need to provide a back story for Asuna which felt insanely forced.
The sad thing is, even in the Asuna story Kirito shows up to save the day by being OP. I was able to tolerate the badly put together second act and was somewhat happy that the focus wasn't on Kirito for once, but that just ruined what wasn't already that great for me..

The second arc transitioned wildly from a back story of Asuna to a back story of Yuuki (in other words, there was clearly no need to dive into their stories, but for the sake of killing time and compensating for the lack of interest they provide they also included minor "feels" in each one). Can't believe you let SAO sway you with feels of side-characters.
wait im confused u want more kirito? wasnt the main complaint how asuna fell into obscurity or whatever

idk i cant comment on the other comments yet cause it's not over, we'll see tho

they are trying to provide a back story for asuna, but its kinda failing...

and **__SPOILER ALERT__**
did they really have to give Yuuki AIDS?
Aren't they just going in order of the light novels? 25 episodes a season need two arcs to fill it up
They are indeed following the order of the light novel but much of what @johncenaADV still holds true even in the novels. I stopped reading after getting to Alicization arc because of how much of a mess everything was.

I don't think it's bad, but I don't really care for the feels or Yuuki. We did not get as much action as before and looks like we won't : c

I really dont like this arc. I mean itt was good when we got to see some kiriito action. I wish there was more kirito x asuna action tho.
