For the viewers who don't understand Japanese and have to watch English subs, I can understand your dissatisfaction with the franchise; however, you have to keep in mind that it's fairly difficult translating this particular series. A lot of the significance and meaning you'd get out of the dialogue is lost once it's translated (or at least in pretty much all of the subbed versions I've seen). I doubt this will sway the overall satisfaction you got from the show but I hope this will allow you to be more considerate as to why this show isn't actually bad.

@Deciduous Hana is told entirely from the perspective of Kanbaru, if that makes you feel better lol.

@Irony: nise felt like it sucked 3 and a half hours of my life out and gave me nothing much for it. Kaiki is a good character and the toothbrushing is iconic, but not much else stood out to me. maybe i just don't care about the sisters, idk.

Well yea. You're not going to understand anything if you watch a random ep of one of the later series if you didn't finish Nisemongoatari

Not sure how I feel about the focus on Yotsugi, but Monogatari has been looking p great ever since Second Season. I believe!

nise was so bad i'm like...why watch second series?
also my favorite characters don't get screentime and one of them dies

i wanted to like this series so much after bake. if only kizu had come sooner...maybe things would be different

At this point I don't even care whether they're good or not, I will watch this and Kizumonogatari for the sake of finishing the series.

I didn't really like Hanamonogatari, i thought that it was pretty boring for most of it, maybe its just because i thought that kanbaru's "problems" were insignificant.
But it did get better in what would be the late 2nd / early 3rd episode.

Making me want to watch monogatari series even less

I still need to finish Hanamonogatari, but I've been backlogged pretty badly recently.
