Luminous

nexon ruined luminous

the whole light dark system on gms is rubbish
the unique selling point of KMS luminous is that you couldn't spam the same type of skills, because using say light skills would mean that dark skills would get a buff, then using the dark skills would eventually lead to light skills gettting a bufff - so this way u had to switch them round.

nexon has just made it so that u spam whatever type skill ( light or dark) and u will get a buff for that type skill.

way to go nexon
The reason they changed it is because the light dark system in KMS did not work as well as they thought it would, so they changed it to make the system simpler.
I felt like it played just fine in KMS when I tried it.

@jack0966
agree to some point at least nexon could done was made it so the swich charges would buildj up based on not using the type of att

example:spams light moves.... the dark power would build up
or spams dark moves and the light power would build up

at least it would be close to idea of the original system....
and Equilibrium state is harder to reach in gms due to the skills cooldown to swich....
kms 3rd job equilibrium state seems to last longer then our 3rd job... but i noticed the time on gms equilibrium state seems to be shorter80% time and can also last longer to.... rarely (before adding the 4th job skill that incress its time)

I see, it wasn't originally like that. I was going to make a thread asking what's the point of even switching, if you can just spam one type and there seemed to be no incentive to use both light and dark.
well gms didnt want to do kms version since we are all power hungry =. they left out fun part of being luminous
Quite the contrary, it was KMS who did changed Luminous to this display. They didn't like how the who paths thing panned out and decided to meld it together and give it to us. It was from reddit's AMAA yesterday.

@MLPFiM According to JoeTang of Southperry, KMS Lumi can reach Equilibrium faster with his 4th job skills than GMS Lumi by about 20-35sec.

There is in no way our Luminous is "better" than the KMS version. Sure, maybe mobbing/training got a bit easier, but in the long run, it's useless. Whether you're playing for fun or damage, there is absolutely NO bossing capabilities for our Luminous. Luminous's had crappy bossing abilities to start with, meaning KMS wise, but not it's almost non-existent. I get the lovely option for switching into equilibrium wherever I want to, after that, poof. Nothing. Ever. Luminous's were only ever good at bosses in KMS was because they walked in and out of equilibrium so often. I find it mind boggling stupid. If NA America wanted to make more money, they'd leave it was in KMS. Even after getting to level 200 already, I'm about to walk my butt back to my F/P.
If the current GMS version was the one released in KMS, and the KMS one was the one to be released in GMS, people would still be saying "it's ruined".

No. Just no.

I wondered as to why the changed this feature for the Luminous, and I can only think of one reason; money. Release a class super buffed, with all the pros and no cons, and you have yourself a moneymaking class.

I almost want to put money on the notion that they are going to add the original dark/light system when they "nerf" the class for "re-balancing" purposes.
