Changing to Bishop

Hello Basilers,
Since I am giving up on damage, I was thinking of changing back to bishop.
Right now, I am lv206 with 291k unbuffed range.
Would my range be affected when I change jobs? If so, how?
Thanks

@AuraShade86: When you switch it resets the 1st job mp skill and you lose a ton of mp. they may or may not have fixed it but my mage still hasn't got its mana back. They gave me 30k maplepoints and that's the last ive heard from them...

I've seen you say this on a couple other threads but how exactly is it glitched? I switched my I/L to an F/P a few days after the FO patch and it didn't lose any MP :o

Your range will go down about 10% but more importantly you will lose around 30%+ of your mana because mage open job adv is glitched. This is the reason I am not on my il atm because it only has 40k mana on lv 200...

Bishop have more pdr and higher crit rates. but the pdr doesn't really matter much because you can get up to like 90% pdr on fp or il
(ive got 80% on my bam without trying and without zero link) and bishop doesn't have elemental reset so that's gg when soloing bosses...

On level 200 you can fund without spending money, just go on gollux, magnus, and cra runs with other people and sell drops.

@Carve no it will be lower.
@natty2 bishop have lower ranges.

Bishop better for party bossing and training. fp better for soloing. I/l is just a filler class I guess.

@jacob9874 your range will probably drop, but won't be any different if you are in a party of 6. Though I don't know why you still care about your range when you are giving up on it, bishop with that much range is good enough to kill.

@jacob9874: bishop also have a hyper skill called "Righteously Indignant",
when inactive, you get damage +40%.
In addition, yes, bishop also have a bunch of damage increasing passives.
Like my homie above me said, crit rate + crit damage + pdr all rise.
Range also increase, however the damage you deal may decrease.

I also, you don't have to give up on damage in order to change to a bishop,
This class could be fun!
Is this really true?
The passive skill of F/P called Element Amplification gives 50% magic attack.
Wouldn't range decrease then?

Maybe I did something wrong but when I job changed from a bishop to an f/p, my range went up by 20k (I'm unfunded just so you know).
Not being able to deliver decent damage made me change jobs and now everything is a whole lot faster but you sound like you'll be a strong bishop anyway

Ur PDR, Critical Rate, and critical damage will all increase. Your range in particular will increase drastically because of no-VoA's 40% damage.

That being said, despite all of that, u won't dish out as much damage in ur attacks but ur giving up on damage anyways so...
