Couldnt use any skill/potion during horntail
Couldn't find if this was a common problem, but recently when I am fighting horntail my skills lock up my first thought was that it was horntail sealing me. When I tried to go for a all cure however even that didn't work then I noticed I couldn't use potions and my pet wasn't healing me. I couldn't do anything. Has anyone faced this problem and if so were you able to fix it?

try going on a rope and buff on there, it seems to work for me.
I'm having more of the problem that @CherryTigers is having, but I've found that lowering my resolution helped.
If you're referring to using skills when attacking the heads before actually fighting HT himself, I've noticed if you're on the very front of the platform your skills have a delay on working, no idea why, but it happens to me as well. The best thing to do is to move back a little bit so they start working properly if this isn't what you're talking about, then ignore this xD
This happens to me too in chaos horn tail. I think it has to do with the background and how my graphics card still can't handle it well enough.
Everything I do works but it's all delayed. If your potion is NEVER working, I don't know if it's your graphics card per say but it could also be your internet to blame.
I had this question a while back too, and as @Twilicious said, it seems to be the potion pot. If it heals you right as you die due to damage reflect and keeps you alive you get stuck unable to attack or use items until you log out.

Where you fighting chaos horntail and using potion pot? It glitches up when your pet auto heals you with a potion pot when attacking DR.
