Why are macros so slow sometimes?

I notice when I use the in game macro's most of the time it's very slow. Like there will be a 500ms delay in between each skills cast but when I go on a rope the macro's work just fine. How can I fix this seeing as maple doesn't allow the use of any other macros (even those built in the keyboard).

I seriously doubt the amount of lag I get trying to buff or use macros on a flat surface has that much to do with any animation frames that are skipped when you're on a rope.
My Luminous goes through the whole iteration of the buff animation frames while on a rope, as gaudy and expansive as they are, and still it buffs about 50% faster than standing on the ground. Just skipping the character movement frames isn't likely to account for that big a difference.

But on the other hand, it's a better explanation than anything I've been able to come up with.

Your sense of perspective is off. The speed at which buffs are cast off a rope is the normal casting speed. When you get on a rope, you buff about 50% faster, this has been known for years.

Did anyone notice buffing is also faster for a Kaiser that's transformed? I wonder why...

On a rope/ladder, the buffs are casted much faster than usual, and the difference can easily be seen by mages.

Hmm, you're right about that one. My character wiggles on a rope when I buff, it's funny

Getting on the rope does not get rid of animations.

Macros and looting are just a couple of the more apparent results of that.

It's unclear why being on a rope would make macros work faster, but there's nothing you can do to make them work any better (short of reprogramming the game, that is).[/quote]

@hellksing: Those were one of the first signs lol. It's pretty obvious, it's great them trying to stop the hacks but they never will be able to in my opinion. There is always that small group of hackers that have it all.

Don't forget restoring your HP and MP it seems to have a delay too.
