The White Mage Grand Athenaeum

First of all first things first,
if I've post this in the wrong section please tell me.

So I've completed the White Mage story in Grand Athenaeum
and let my tell I'm impressed I never thought that the former white Mage is actually the Black Mage
because of it research he did there
so now actually how I'm seeing it is that this is the story of how the White Mage became the Black Mage if I'm correct

In Angelic Buster/Kaiser's storyline, you get the full answer as to what's going on. Basically, both Grandis and the Maple World have a set of three transcendents. In the maple world, the Black Mage is the one who go corrupted, while in Grandis it was their transcendent of life (Gerald Darmoor). Both of them terrorized their respective dimensions and ended up attacking their transcendent of time. With both dimensions now missing their transcendents of time, they began merging in some kind of last-ditch effort to restore balance. Once the worlds merge, only three transcendents will remain. Right now the two of them are conspiring to put themselves in the Light and Life positions, while Zero (assuming they ally with the Black Mage) in the Time position. Since only transcendents can kill each other, they'd be unopposed.

Can't they just call them Light Mage and Dark Mage? Even when you want to enter one of the locked areas, they say you can't enter because of black magic, not dark magic (which is more understandable).
