Newly pierced ears

I got both my ears pierced this past Saturday and was wondering if I am allowed to take out the earrings for maybe 4-5 hours? The woman told me to keep my piercing clean, which I have been doing, and leave them in there for 6 weeks.

I did that two times, and both times my ears closed making me have to get them pierced again. >_<
And one time, i actually made another hole my self while trying to fit the earring in the wrong place.

oh and a tip that has alwaaays worked for me and my friends is if ur earring doesnt seem to go back in ur earhole, for reasons like not wearing an earring in it for 2-3 months, is to rub the piercing spot with vaseline (or any petroleum jelly) and the needle part of the earring, and voila! it will slip through!

Yeah I only tookmine out once suing the six week phase. And to be honest I switched my earrings after the third week. But I wouldn't take them off for such a long time.

u shouldnt take em out...it'll just get nasty. u knnow dirty and there will be higher chances of an infection...and ear infections suck.take it from me.id say keep them in..not for 6 weeks but a month would be good and keep rubbing them will rubbing alcohol twice a day. oh and after you've taken them off (in 4 weeks) u should try and keep earring in them so they dont close up which they do rly easily in the first year or so
