With the Empress Cygnus Set in Chaos, should we up our dex?

That set is amazing, no doubt about it, and the Set effect is even more amazing. If you equip all 6 pieces at the same time you get +30% Damage to Bosses AND +30 Watk. I know it's going to be borderline impossible to obtain, but shouldn't you aim for the best? 170 dex requirement is quite high.

impossible, its harder than PB since she spawn a bunch of high HP minions >.<
and it has damage reflection, and all other rigged buffs a boss can order from the wallet D:
If someone's seen the empress being killed LEGITY @ youtube please, post the link, the only one i've seen, was the one that they killed the empress when it was glitched... the empress didn't spawn her minions so... it doesn't count.

You're probably fine, seeing as a funded (which you WILL have to be to get the set) thief will have 100 dex from pends / rings / belt / ears / face and so on.

Well currently with a 78 base, I have about 170 in total from equips. I do plan on getting a Czhelm with at least 35+ Dex and a Htp which would help a considerable amount ^^.
I had 60 base dex on my NL and I had a total of 218 dex after equipping my lampion. % All stats works wonders.

I've already done the math on these. wearing the entire set with the base dex is better. you will never need the entire base dex since htps and the like exist.
in total the set adds 113 dex clean
and a total of 128 luk
so you could have 128 base dex and still break even.
2 bigbang rings a lilins/resistance, and a 22 allstat htp brings you up to 168
remember though, after chaos there's going to be new shoulderpads belts and earrings
theres a level 130 belt that adds 10 dex
and a level 130 shoulderpad that adds 10 dex
22+18+20=60
get some 10 dex earrings, and you're at 170
you could easily equip the entire set with just 100 base dex, which is exactly what I did.
Nah. I already have 200+ dex.. -.-
