Dualblade

Maps that are great for most classes, but suck for DBs.

Have you ever noticed that in those "Where to Train" guides there are a lot of recommended areas that just plain suck for the Dual Blade style of play? I know that, at least for me at lv 70+, most of the "recommended areas to train" were difficult to maneuver around because a bunch of small platforms/obstacles blocked my FATS, lowering my XP/hr. Has anybody else experienced this?

The best examples I can give are Roids, thanks to all of the smaller platforms (you end up getting stuck on them with FA) and MP3 thanks to that damn hummer and the little stacks on the right side of the bottom part of the map.

So, I guess what I'm going for here is, if you've dealt with these issues, first of all what did you do to get around it, and second of all, what would be a good substitute for the training spot that is most recommended?

I know that for me personally, I stayed at WTDs from 83-98 or so, then kind of bumbled my way around the maple world from 98-101, then trained on Dark Rashes from 101-106, then Hankies from 106-109, then Neo City from 109-110...and now I'm stuck at 110 because Captains/Krus is another good example of what this topic is about.

Okay, seriously, my damage is pathetically low like I said. I'm level 110 and my range is 3906-5580
are you 1hko'ing dark rashes? stay there until 112 then go crocky.
Kind of but not really. I kill them with a single FABSBS guaranteed, and if I get lucky I can kill them with a FABS. With a Warrior Elixir I can kill them with a single FABSUS guaranteed.

And to everybody telling me to learn to control my DB, what exactly do you suggest I do? There isn't exactly a training regimen for control, lol. I don't struggle that much with Roids/MP3 maps anymore, but I can't stand the Captain/Kru map. I tried training @ Ghost Pirates but my damage is so pathetic that I only get about 2%/minute on that map.

I'm not funded at all (DB is my main) so it's not like I can just go around buying 3% luk items everywhere. And I'm not trying to drop loads of real life cash on this game so that isn't an option. At this point I'm in the middle of a vicious circle: My damage sucks, making training difficult. I'm not funded, making it nearly impossible to get better damage. And then it goes back to my training being difficult, making it more difficult to fund myself. My ultimate goal at this point is just to make myself a +3 atk +5 luk +5 dex reverse killic & katara before Chaos comes and Maker goes.

You need to learn how to control your character. MP3 IMO is the best map for a DB if you know how to work it perfectly. You can easily wipe out the whole map within seconds if you know how to do it correctly.

Roids? Who goes to roids?

Jesters from 70-90. MP3 from 90-105. Caps and Krus from 105-110. LHC from 110+

If you follow this, like I did, because I don't like changing my training spots frequently, you'll get to 110 from lvl 70 in a week training maybe only 1-3 hours a day.

I was in MP3 from 90-120 and I was sad when I left it. MP3 is one of the best maps to train on. I used to hog the whole map and lv like 3-5 levels each night.

Learn to control your DB.
Wel im not tryin to b an A-hole here but i trained my DB to lvl 130 PRE-BB so dont act like its hard to train now lol
dont act like it was hard back then
i trained gallos from 75-120 in a matter of days. 20k exp per kill, sometimes 38k (2x, hs, ring, some other stuff gm buff?) i got like a Level in 5 min there
training pre-bb imo, was much easier cause i had everything planned out, still cant get a character past 90 now

@KayohTip: That's basically what I just said... You're NOT supposed to FA in the middle of the platforms, and if you do, there's little spaces inbetween the little stacks. You need more practice for your Dual Blader's control if you can't do that.
Really? I thought maps good for DB's that were bad for everyone else...anyways Mp3 isn't that bad on a DB imo. Just practice FA'ng to not mess yourself up? Idk. 110 is LHC if im not mistaken.
I agree, MP3 isn't the worst map for DBs, it's just annoying until you get the hang of it, at which point it's still a struggle to find an empty channel, even in a world as underpopulated as Zenith. C-2 and Red Nosed Pirates Den are both worse imo.

And the lowest lv monster in LHC is 115...and my damage is pitifully low.
MP3 is perfectly fine:O You start from one corner to another, NOT in the middle of the platform where there's scattered platforms. You jump off the platform at the corner, quickly turn around, and Flying Assualter all of the monsters. Easy.
At the bottom right of the map, though, there are stacks (they look like stacks of coins in my brain, I haven't been to mp3 in a while) and they block FA. The Hummer blocks FA. Then on the next platform up the trash can on the left blocks FA, but that's easy to get around by just jumping off the platform, turning around mid-air and FAing. Top platform is fine, but the most annoying one is the bottom one, on the right side.

My DB is my main, not exactly funded. I don't even have any rings since I started playing 3 days before the last evolving ring event was over.
