Oh god not this debate again... it's not absurd for people to spend more in order to get what they were accustomed to before. I'm also not saying the currency change itself isn't fair, it's the way it was handled... I'd be happy to copy paste some stuff here if you like...). However, especially since this price was held at a constant for years, which is something that people have grown accustomed to and would also define as a normal price. I'm not surprised people are angry.

I am aware that it is something that people got accustomed to, but it was a benefit that they've had for years, they should not be furious because they had an unfair advantage/benefit taken away, it is only fair that everyone pays the same price for the same amount of NX. Maybe the lines of what you can be angry about is different for everyone so I know what you mean. Nonetheless the currency change is only fair.

They should region lock their purchases better (e.g. Americans can't buy Canadian Karma Koins) instead of doing this. They've completely ignored purchasing power parity. Basically in poorer countries, people make less overall, so the price of equivalent goods must be adjusted for that countries economy. (if you want to read more, look up the big mac index).

This isn't apparent when comparing CAD to USD to AUD etc... (although US GDP/capita is a teeny tiny slightly higher than Canadian GDP/capita) The only major place I see a potential problem with this is China, since the average wage is 8x less than the US wage, yet the price of NX is the same as the US price once exchange rates are taken into account.

Also, don't pretend for a second this change is to make the game "fair". A Canadian has to not only adjust to the US exchange rate, but they also have to essentially pay for the transfer fees that nexon pays to the banks. So a Canadian or an Australian actually pays more than Americans once the exchange rate is considered. I'm not saying this practice is wrong, lots of firms do it, but in their press release, Nexon kept stressing how it makes the game fair, when it really doesn't. This change was essentially made to stop people from buying Koins in other currencies.
That would be absurd if people were fed up with balancing the NX prices internationally.
I thought it was just me getting weird lag while in Star Planet, I noticed the games were finishing before visibly finishing, matches were locking up at odd points, elements weren't loading in immediately, so I turned off the game. Checking a sever status website, I'm seeing some odd readouts. Is this still going on?
