New Tennis Racquet suggestions

Hey i'm going to get straight to the point
i'm just looking for a new racquet for tennis and i want to hear some personal suggestions from basil's tennis community
Some things you should know:
-I'm at the intermediate level
-looking specifically for Head (lol) racquets because (a)Prince has a weird weight position (b) I refuse to use babolot due to personal reasons
- I have good spin and decent control
-looking for a little more power but not losing a lot of sweet spots
and also, can you guys tell me what you especially like about the racquet(s) you suggest?

Just give me your suggestions and i'll look them up. Thanks basil
Thanks everyone! I think i'm deciding on the prestiege, it'll be costly so i have to work a couple more weeks to buy it but i'm making sure to demo it first. I'll make a new thread if i still need help afterwards.
Okay sorry: I'm a guy! haha sorry for the confusion. I'm a senior in highschool if that helps
what gauge strings do you guys use and why?

I use 16/17g poly with high tension (57-60) but it is really a personal preference for tension. Most people will stick to 16/17 g. Thinner string is better for everything other than the fact that it doesn't last longer than a thicker string.

Thanks guys, ALSO since i'm already playing with prince, I'm looking at the prince black team 100 and it's catching my eye. Anyone have personal experience with it yet?

@mrghetto it's because someone i know who i HATE uses it. He always brags about his power with the racquet (which isn't strong at all) so i prefer not using babolat to show him i can get more power than him without his kind of racquet. It's a kind of stubborn thing

@mushdit it's all about body movements. Not just your hands, but your legs as well. Your waist is also important on how you hit your ball. If you're attacking the ball at the net, i generally use closed body forehands
@dwee456 i'm generally still confused about strings , but someone in here suggested a pro hurricane 18 so can anyone else confirm if that's a good one? and what gauge strings do you guys use and why?

I would suggest if you want a head try: YOUTEK IG/Speed
Could try any team series in Wilson.
VCore 100 from Yonex maybe.

I'm assuming you're a girl btw. Cuz I wouldn't recommend a Blx95/90 for a girl.

@dwee456 yeah i'm thinking maybe the mid+. i figure power can be generated through your body really well. My partner for double's is scrawny and he can generate a lot of power and speed. I have good control as it is i think.
I've looked into those racquets but i just can't see myself using it at all. :T

I reeeeally am liking how to prestige looks. It's just my favorite racquet color. Of course, my decision isn't based on looks:3

I play tennis A LOT so some questions to start
Can you generate your own power?
What is the price range you're looking for?
Do you prefer power, control, or spin?

Answer these and I think i can help.

EDIT:
Right now I'm an intermediate player and I'm using the Head YouTek IG Speed 18x20 with Babolat pro hurricane and at 58 tension. The place where I play tennis lets us demo any rackets for free and I play tennis like 6 hours a day mon-fri and used the 16x19 pattern for the Head YouTek. I prefer the 18x20 cause I get CRAZY control and I can generate my own power well so I get good topspin baseline shots easily. The 16x19 however has a little less control and more spin, I demo'd it for like an hour and didn't like it as much as my 18x20. My serves and volleys also feel great with the 18x20 and I can hit down the line serves fairly easily.

Basically I recommend the Head YouTek 18x20 with pro hurricane 18 because it has great control, nice feel, good spin and if you have the right technique hitting those winners will be easy.
Buy Federer's racquet Wilson BLX Six.One Tour for 169$. If u are strong enough you can buy it. But I guess u are pretty weak cuz you're girl.
Btw I know I can win you. -_- . Hehehehe>.<
wow i've never met anyone more ignorant. First off, i'm a dude. Next:
-Just because you have a really nice racquet doesn't mean you can play well. If you don't know that read the next thing
-You seem like you know very little about tennis by saying girls can't play. Sure there are a lot of girls that can't play well but there are a LOT that can surely beat you.
-ignorance is just shining from you. You Know] you can beat me because you assumed i was a girl.
and if you read anything, you'd know that i was looking for an intermediate racquet. And wilson's blx is better for all around advanced players
Federer would be ashamed to have you as a fan

anyone who has tried the prestige MP, is it good for intermediate level players? and @above i'm looking for more power without losing control so a small head with a lot of weight? and i mean any head

I suggest stop playing tennis and start playing squash, way better
Squash is the worlds best sport
i recommend a Black Knight Magnum Lava

If you just want to get a second one (for when your strings break), buy the same racket again. If you really want a new racket, I'm using the youtek head speed (mp) and I really like it. Most of the head youtek rackets are pretty nice imo (but also fairly pricey).

@dwee456 theres no problem with this racquet. I'm just in need of a second one. And i want one that'll be able to carry me through the advanced level with more ease

@speed it's personal reasons to try not to use babolot :T

I have a Babolat AeroPro Drive GT (Rafel Nadal's racquet). What's wrong with Babolat's?

@dylanchu3 can you explain "forgiving"? It's used a lot but i never felt like looking into it. i'm guessing a lot of safe power?

@elegant , it's not really a problem either way. However i do like to customize

@james1000000 yeah i wanted to get it but it's too soon atm. I'll re-consider it when i'm at the advanced level.

@fynel sorry D: i might be interested if you can convince me but it'll be pretty hard

@dakoda nothing specifically with the racquet. Just this guy i reeaaaallly hate uses it. And i find it like a rivalry using a different type of racquet to beat him
@fpsmuch oh lmaooo. that sounds convenient. I'll just carry a box to all of my games just in case

@fpsmuch yeah i have an overgrip on it, feels a lot better. and nah i don't have that specific one. mine recently broke so i'm getting a new one

i started out with a Babolat Pure Drive and then switched to my current, Head Prestige (MP)

both great rackets, but since you said you weren't going to use a babolat...i guess i'd recommend the Head Prestige. the MP has a 98 square inch head and its really solid
if not, I personally also love the radical MP (all versions of it liquidmetal to the youtek)

@fpsmuch yeah i love it, no problems at all. yeahh but i bought it at academy and it doesnt really supply any higher leveled racquets. And i think Head would be a better racquet overall.
edit: oh when i said it was crappy, i just meant that it's too old now and i need a fresher model

@victorisdumb i'm currently using a prince 03 red. Kinda crappy, but it gives a good balance imo. I heard that prince rackets place their weight a little oddly :T
@crappyusername thanks i will definitely look into those. And yeah i might demo a few from my tennis instructor. Yeah i liked the wilson blx blade too, but i'm not that at that level yet, and i heard they break easily? not too sure. and LOL i gotta get some of those grips

What did you use before? Personally, I like to stick with racquets I'm more used to and have spent a lot of time using.
