no i only typed user, pw and pic, never typed my bday or email adress or last name. I have no idea how he changed them

well ill post agian if i can get my chars back. Its gonna be a long 7 hour 30 minute wait till i can reset my pw. What should i do in the mean time. any advice?

if it said not to go to the link why would people go :O, and if i were the hacker, y would i remove the link, and the hacker who got me was smart, he knew my name, my guild ldr name, and several others ppl i know. im just trying to do a right thing, but if its best that this thread be shutdown i understand, i just dont want others to get hacked

i found 4 things on the malware scan, so i destroyed them, but the virus scan still going. and i removed the link

Regardless you still have to DOWNLOAD SOMETHING if you visit a website and get a key-logger you are still downloading the key-logger, even if you don't know that you are.

to all the people saying its my fault. I KNOW ITS MY FAULT, not once through this thread have i blamed it on any1, not even my friend who got hacked as well. I KNOW IM STUPID, IDIOT for trusting that website. This is my first mistake in what 6 years. Im just trying to warn ppl, im hoping that my friends, people from mystic, blackopz see this and know to stay away from my character. Call me what u will, but im trying to do the right thing here. Im trying to prevent my friends from getting hacked as well. IM sorry if thats a wrong thing to do.

and i confirmed with a friend the guy who hacked me was also hacked, there goes another godly mage >:O fml i just hope my friend can recover his account D:

I'm sure you'll get it back tomorrow, keep my updated. I hope you get your characters back. Everyone makes a mistake once In a lifetime. Heck losing a level 87 was hard for me so I can imagine losing 4 120+ characters.

1. maplestory.nexon.net
2. Click find password
3. Enter Birthday/Last Name/ Whatever Nexon ask for
4. Check your email
5. ?
6. Password reset!
7. Now do same for pic

Don't trust people, never go to websites linked to you from other Maplers or Basilers.
You will 100% not get hacked.

Ive only trusted one friend. I didn't regret it either as that friend didn't do anything but annoyingly change my key set so it worked with his laptop. Then when he was done I changed the info and all was good. OFC I lost the account by being an idiot later but hey I liked my Bandit better anyways. Still close friends with the dude too. Have him on MSN, FB, Gaia, and other places. Then again Ive known him for nearly since I started Maplestory.

Ty for ur offer, but those character i have or years of hard work, if i cant get them back i guess im quitting for good. And is there a way i could call nexon, the hacker reseted my pw, i still got the email address/birthday/last name. I tried forget pw, they apprently spammed it so much that i couldnt reset my pw today, ill have to try at midnight when it resets hopefully
