how come everyone on this forum/site trys to be funny/smart and say stuff that make them look like there a smartass when really they're just a 12 year old skinny kid that lives in his grandmas basement on a computer just typing stuff and people thinks hes popular but really he's just a shy kid and talks to no one in real life but when he gets on the computer he act like hes a party animal. please explain thanks!

Everyone seems much more intelligent over the internet for various reasons. The main one being that they can sit there for as long as they want to think of a witty comeback without looking stupid.
