after the recent patch, I was getting a runtime error for "maplestory.exe"

i updated my visual files

it works fine now. thanks to above posters who provided the information

@hungry: Yes I had the dll extension not there they told me to redownload maple. But it was missing again

Its been 2 hours, I'll miss my dailies if I wait till tomorrow. Any1 do anything other than wait to fix worlds not being able to be clicked?

I had the same problem with channels not coming up when clicking on a world, but I left the game open for a while and it eventually worked

I'm in, but when I click worlds nothing happens. I just wanna do my dailies .

@hualicious: Yea, I could log in, but after a while I lagged and had to log off. And now it says my ID is already logged in.
Can't log in now zzz

Seems like the servers are stable now. Idk what they did though.

If you're getting the runtime error, try updating this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784

If you're getting an NGS try deleting the contents of the BlackCipher directory and run the game to have it populate again. If that doesn't work, try downloading from nexon's website: http://download2.nexon.net/Game/MapleStory/BlackCipher/BlackCipher.zip

These may not work, but worth a shot.

@gargantula2: My friend just had that, just wait a bit or try to relog again. He logged in already.

Now I'm having another issue. When I click on a server, nothing happens. zzzzz

@hungry: Yea I had the same issue, I also did the same what you did and it also worked for me. I thought those who only had run time error only that it was different but it's the same.

I guess MapleStory client got updated with these stuff and we were missing it on our computers?

^ ^ If you're getting the run time error or the dll that fixes it. At least it did for me.

I had the D3dx9_43.dll not found and a runtime error. Updating DirectX seems to have fixed it for me.

@whatthejew: I was able to get in without any lag too.

But the population was cut by half, and this was 3 hours after the maintenance ended.

Yeah I was able to get to the homescreen, but when I try to click my world, nothing clicks.

Is there a fix for the runtime error?

Inb4 another maintenance. They actually made the game even worse.

Very strange, I have no problems with one laptop, and haven't dced/crashed/have any login problems.
Yet on another laptop of mine I keep getting runtime errors when I try launching the game, never had this issue before this update. o-0

Pet snack not fixed, same with evo rock for pets tch

I'm also getting the NGS Update Error. Can't even stay 2-3 mins online.

@Beefly Yeah but those people are actually getting into the game.
