Scrolling for mattk or int?

Ello basil, long time no chat. Anyway, I've been pretty confused as to what mages are supposed to do as far as equip scrolling. Is it better for us to get gear with mattk or int...? When is int better?

As for reference, if it even matters, my staff is currently 241ish mattk, 9%mattk pot. I'm sure this has been asked before, but bear with me.

well, to be totally clear, if you have no %anything, %Dmg = %Magic = %INT. it's a balance of 1:1:1 in which you get the highest range. but %INT's the easiest to get so if you have an option of %INT or %Magic/%Dmg, get the latter. %Dmg and %Magic is only weapon so if you have one but less of the other, get the other.

as for Matk vs INT, INT's much easier to get so 1 for 1 Matk is better. use Base INT/Base Magic attack and that's how much INT you need to be preferable over Matk.
alternatively, Total INT/Total Magic (easier to count) and that's how much INT you need (factor in %INT and %Magic) to beat Matk

%Damage = %Magic > %Int > M.Att > Int

M.Att is on average 3 to 5 times better than Int. Notice I said average, it could be over or under.
