Superior gollux belt or tyrant

I'm funding a nw and I already have all the 150 gollux items and every tyrant Lycaon, except the belt.
My gollux belt is clean, should I go for a tyrant belt? And how much would that cost please
I can scroll the items and cube them, but the tyrants won't go higher than 10* since it's really expensive.
Well sure, I'm just saying it's not cost effective. Perm NX isn't cost effective either and yet people still spend billions of mesos on it. A Tyrant Belt is more for the sake of looking good than for the sake of dealing damage, falling into the same status item category as LGRs, Black Tinkerer Shoulders, and Titanium hearts, which despite being the "best of the best" are extremely cost inefficient.
Tyrants are not just for looks; a 15-star Tyrant is far superior to anything else in the game. Even if you can't quite afford to get it to 15 stars, it still has the potential to be that good in case you ever want to upgrade it.

If you happen to find one at YMCK 30b... (titanium heart)

But tyrants, black Tinkerer shoulder and Titanium hearts at the end do give more range.....
I do admit that they cost way too much, and lgr is definitely not worth the price, the effect is completely cool though.

That's what I disagree with you on. With me and with plenty of others, I think its not about looks or status, I think it's about ocd and just wanting to feel complete. I rather assume everyone isn't that elitist or image concious...and I know for certain I'm not. I've tried to convince myself of these things but when it comes down to it, I still want to do what is best in the long term because I see the money I spend as an investment and I want to use it on stuff I value...not stuff I'm just being cheap about.

To me it's a matter of pride and wanting to do what's best vs what I can get by with. It touches on my vague ocd.

So yeah, while you make sense on paper...emotionally, to me, I'd always think to myself 'I could have...' and in this situation, it's pretty frustrating to have something you put your hard earned nx towards that isn't honestly the best option for you.

Not to mention how awesome it feels to make the gear yourself.
Then again people pay 30 B for LGRs, which are trash, so whatever. Tyrant belts are status items that like to pretend otherwise, enough people have bought into this delusion that it's somehow become the norm. If you have the money to waste feel free, but superior gollux belts will always be more cost effective.
Though I do agree with you on the LGR's, as those honestly are nothing more than status symbols. Plenty of people have LGR's yet lack the range they need to do what they want to do...yet if they just sold the LGR and used that money wisely, they'd likely gain 1mil range from the same money that bought them one silly ring.

I will never waste my money on one of those rings.

if u wanna get 2-2 no clown and cap on mobs and cap on bosses and cap errywhere, grab a tyrant belt
if u wanna get to the minimum range needed to solo bosses with cost efficiency, get gollux belt

Pros of each

In favor of the Gollux Belt

1. Much cheaper, like, you save roughly 10-20 B
2. Identical stats to a 6-7 star Tyrant belt.
3. Can be cubed for any class
4. Tradable until equip
5. You don't need to pay NX every month for a pendant slot.

In favor of the Tyrant Belt

1. You have access to stars 7-15
2. Resale value of a Tyrant belt is a much higher fraction than that of a Gollux belt.
3. It looks better

In summary, a 10 star Tyrant belt will cost you about 40 B more than a Superior Gollux belt, force you to buy an extra superior pendant and pay a monthly fee for a pendant slot.

In exchange you'll gain about 40 att and stat.

Then again people pay 30 B for LGRs, which are trash, so whatever. Tyrant belts are status items that like to pretend otherwise, enough people have bought into this delusion that it's somehow become the norm. If you have the money to waste feel free, but superior gollux belts will always be more cost effective.

@smartbored: I always add it on my polls
@AshleyAttacked: So two sup pendants give full set effect, I'll buy the tyrant belt then, thanks for the quick reply I've seen some for 6b ~ 10b

The tyrant will be a lot more, esp depending on your server. But, without question, thats the route you need to take if your aim is to maximize your range. Theres no benefit to the belt, assuming you set up two gollux pendants...you can equip two superior gollux pends and that will put you to the complete set without needing the belt.
