Is the beginner forum gone now?
There used to be a permanent beginner forum on this site... by going to forum -> other -> beginner... and by used to be I mean like 6 hours ago when I looked. Did basil remove it? It doesn't show up for me anymore. RiP beginner forum. I mean, it's a 'class,' people played, it wasn't the most active, but RiP. Kinda upset because there was a beginner community even if it was small. @LittleTLk @beginnersudo @safez @baroo and various other beginners.

unless it costs more money to run a beginner section of a forum, I have no idea as to why it can't simply be put back in
Either it's a glitch (The entire "Other" subforum is gone) or it was intentional, which seems more likely, since the announcements thread was spared and moved.
Mr. Basil might have considered the beginner subforum as too underused, with only the announcements thread actually used and the rest of the threads usually providing little to no value.
However, I don't think putting the announcements thread in the general section is such a good idea. Not only does that put it on a heavy bump timer, the general section being the most active section, but it could also subject the thread to a lot of off-topic "lol what is this" spam from the general community.
Theres no beginner section on basilmarket as it currently stands, and it was removed today. That is true.
There's not a ton else to really say. It's gone for now and we don't know why. It's potentially a bug and hopefully it will be resolved in the near future. If not... then well I guess the beginner announcement thread still exists.
