Unoficial Basil Intervention 4?
Hello Basilers, today I'm here asking the help of Mr. B and moderators, and of the mapler community.
[b]What's the Deal?[/b]
Guys, have you noticed that you can go into ANY boss and be in ANY map except for towns? some may have a lot of lag and come down to a client crash and some may experience it different or even lagless at towns, but a lot of us have this issue.
[b]Why does this happen?[/b]
It's not all about your PC guys, The main three NPCs (Gaga, Admin and Cassandra) have a lot of information around them, and when you have to charge a map you charge this guys extra information even if you don't need it and you are just going to town to pick something from the storage, this causes the lag issues in major towns with a lot of NPC and this three in special.
[b]So, what's your Solution?[/b]
Simple, we kill the Gaga. Not really, My solution is to take em from every town AND put em in Dimensional door, this way you'll have acces to each of them when they're needed and you don't have to charge all this information when you don't need it. Simple as that, yet it will help us a lot.
[b]Why do this?[/b]
Unlike some other complaints this doesn't involve any kind of money taken or given from any player and this will help the gameplay of many a LOT so please basiler staff and members, help me to get this idea to nexon, Thanks a lot and happy mapling.

I don't have an issue in towns. The only town I've ever feared going to, was Rien. That town's lag is horrendous.

Personally, I've never felt town lag before and I've been playing a little after Maple came out. But I feel like they should just disperse some of the NPCs instead of crowding them in all the towns. I actually miss having to take time to go to different towns and make an effort to go to places because that was how I met most of my "in game" friends.[/quote]

I'm aware haha, just trying to say that if the issue isn't the NPCs themselves, removing them from the map wouldn't resolve the town lag issue.

It can be a lot of things, I tend to look at it more technically although can be something as simple as latency and not any relation to NPCs. I never lag as well.

Probably due to high ping when connecting to the Nexon servers.
I personally never lag in towns or anywhere in maplestory as of late.

While these NPCs contain information, it is not the source of lag in towns and no research has been done to accurately tell where the source of lag comes from.

Would be better if you just put this in the Nexon forums. Basil intervention threads have never made it to official servers as far as I know.
