Could anyone smart help me?

Hi Basil, although my pleas may fall on deaf ears, I just can't seem to find the answer to this question.

What is the definition of life?
just kidding, here is the real question

What is the definition of a coordinate system, a datum, and a projection?
Help appreciated~

clearly you have not taken a course in GIS. This is one of the definitions that doesn't have a fine line so before mouthing off hostilities, why don't you try googling for yourself and telling me each definition in 2 sentences or less?

@RoyalKiss interesting perspective from an English major, but ah, not exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for trying to help though~ unlike that doosh above you

I don't know about coordinate system or projection, but, well, you see, datum is the fourth principle part of do (dare, dedi, datum). It can either be used as a future passive participle or be combined with the imperfect or future forms of sum (either indicative or subjunctive) to form a perfect, pluperfect, or future perfect passive verb. Since it ends with -um, we know that its subject is neuter. Thus we can safely assume that it means "having been given" or "it had been given." I hope I've helped.
