Pokemon X amp Y decisions
I am getting the new pokemon games, but am undecided whether or not to get the guide or not. If I do end up getting the guide I would use my gamestop rewards points so it wont cost me a dime. However, if I do not get the guide I can get 10$ off the game and since I have already put 30$ down on the game I would only be paying the tax. I need help making this decision Basil! If you have certain reasoning please write it down in the comments.

There will be better guides available online for free, if you ever need one. With the functionality of ctrl+f .
If it has a poster, or some other goodies like an artbook or soundtrack included, then you might reconsider buying it. Otherwise, skip it.
Getting a guidebook is no fun. It ruins the experience since you tell you about the places, trainers, pokemon you can catch etc.
I prefer that I find out what happens myself
The only reason why I'd get a guidebook would be to add to my bookshelf.
You have the internet. Why do you need a guide?
the only time i bought a pokemon guide was when that nice bw one came out and...it really didn't have enough extra content to justify the purchase
i don't see the point in a guide when bulbapedia etc have what info you need for free, in addition to pokemon being a game you really don't need a guide for
