New Pc build

I'm building a new PC and would like to get some feedback on my build so far. I would like to know if there is anyway I could either up my build or get the same power for less money. Please try to keep the price close to where it is now. Thanks.,

If you live near a MicroCenter, the only thing I can suggest is purchasing the CPU and mobo from there. You're looking at about $373 from where you're currently buying it. If you get it from MicroCenter it'll be around this price http://i.imgur.com/zdyQETN.png

oh god if you're gonna be using Autodesk Inventor I'd get a 2TB hard drive. Inventor files are HUGE

OR you can get an SSD to use for gaming and the hard drive for everything else

I'd go with a different brand besides zotac. Also get better ram. Case wise, your case is nice but I'd go with a corsair 200r. Also for psu a cx600m is nice. I'd most definitely get rid of that crap HD for ether an ssd or anything other then segate. Don't they have like the highest fail rating?

I also don't see any cost saving methods you can currently do with that build.
Normally I would've suggested stepping down to a locked i5 or an AMD FX 8350 and/or a cheaper GPU. However, most of the games you've listed could use the horsepower the GTX 970 delivers and will benefit more from having a processor with a few powerful cores than many weaker cores.

Out of stock at Newegg where it would be sold for $55.

If it comes back in stock on time:
G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2x4GB) 1600 MHz DDR3 DRAM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231546

Holiday cleaned out the cheapest RAM kits.
$170 for 8GB of RAM? Holy crap...
What country/state do you live in?
Do you already have a monitor, keyboard, and/or mouse? If you have a monitor, what is its screen resolution?
Do you need an operating system such as Windows 7 or Windows 8?
What games do you play or want to play?
What other programs do you use?
Are you interesting in overclocking the processor, the video card, or both?
I already have a keyboard, mouse and monitor (1080p).
I live in California
I'm going to get the student deal for Windows 8 (60$)
I'm going to play games like Dragon Age Inquisition, Dota 2, probably COD:AW, Dark Souls 2, Skyrim, Far Cry 3 & 4, Lords of the Fallen, w/e I get on the upcoming steam sale, and the list continues...
I use Autodesk Inveter, Solid Works, Creo, and MatLab for school and stuff.
I'll be overclocking the CPU and GPU at a later date, but after I get a better cooler for the CPU and case.
