is your damage based on your characters own stats, his level, or does everyone just do the same amount of damage per hit?

Freaking Dual Bladers mobility :
I believe it slightly has to do with your own damage, cause there are players out there that are able to kill you in about 2-3 hits. There are others, such as Paladins, that are hard to kill because of high hp and VERY high defense.
The level of your skills, mostly, and then there's items like Intaglio's Rising Sun set or Larson's Challenger set to boost your Battle Mode att. Ambition also gives you bonuses.
Higher levels do higher damage on lower levels, vice versa.
For example, I could stand for about a minute surrounded by level 70s all attacking me at once before dying.

Battle Mode Att I think. You can increase your Battle Mode Att by leveling your Ambition by killing Bosses or by getting the Larson Challenge Equips.
I'd like to know this too...
