Do you believe in Karma?

I feel as if the Maple community has gotten a bit sour over the years. Maybe it's because of the lack of teamwork this game provides or we're too focused on our damage but ultimately it's down to us right? Since we're the community and everything.

So do you believe in Karma?
Not the karma where you do something and then it comes back to you.
I'm talking about the karma where you do something and it affects the world.
Like if you're nice to everyone then there's a chance that they'll be nice to others, maybe not you but it spreads the love.
And if you're mean to everyone, then there's a higher chance that they'll be in a bad mood and be mean to others?

I believe in it because it happens to me. If someone's randomly nice to me on Maple, I'm inspired to do good things like they did.
When I get KSed and flamed at, it makes me sad and I KS other random strangers because I'm so done with everything.

Every world has those kinds of people who make it worse for others but if we all tried to be as nice as possible (or treat them like they haven't got long to live), maybe the community would be a better place.

Do you think that this kind of Karma exists? What are some other ways we can improve the Maple community?

im not gonna go in to detail on this. There is no karma there is only action and reaction. A reaction with equal or greater force cannot always be applied and usually isn't.

In this world the strongest/most fortunate survive and prosper. That is how reality works. People are not good or evil they just seek their own interest above all else.
(the same reason people don't want to hear anything negative about their class in maplestory lawl)
@SlipperySlime so what you're saying is you are a nobody and you like me? cool.
I forget a lot of you guys are teenagers Lol.
If you believe in karma you have 0 knowledge of human history and you're probably extremely niave.(or some religion stuff you were taught -__-)
Really, because history tells us that ambitious tyrants fall hard on their face, and that great societies that show interest in their people prosper, with a few exceptions.

Also, it's "naive," a trait you seem to excel in judging from your posts on this forum.

You shouldnt feel forced to be nice to people...it should be natural. If you force it then of course it wont be rewarding

Uh. I don't know. It just depends on the type of person. I never rage or ks or hate because I'm just not the type to get involved with little kids anymore.
I don't think maplestory has anything to do with karma. When people are nice to me, they become my friends and I'll happily hs, kanna, or help out my friends. If people aren't nice or do nothing, I have no obligation to do anything for them.
Also, usually when people offer to get on a bish/phantom to hs or help out random strangers, they're usually just trying to show off that they have other and higher lvl characters.
well yea i believe in that kind of karma, but i wouldnt call it karma.
its like you said, if peoples do good things to you. your more prompt to do good things to other as youll be in a good mood.
and if someone is pissing you off, its going to be easier for you to lose your temper and just unleashed it on others.

i dont got the exact words to explain it but i wouldnt call it karma.
I didn't know what to call it sorry. It's like a Pay it Forward thing but I dunno the noun for it.
I called it Karma because what you do affects other things and not necessarily yourself? Like a less selfish version of Karma? I dunno.
