MMORPGS are dying and it doesn't help that Maplestory is outdated and lacks the complexity of Guild Wars 2 and WoW. Maplestory only really has the nostalgia and casual thing going for it; it won't attract new people.
I feel like Maple should advertise more. I heard the Aran TV commercial really drew the interest of a lot of people.
Have you noticed any NEW players lately (not returning, or people who've never played post big bang) because I haven't. Often times I wonder why I play maplestory myself o.o
...but yeah I personally dont 'play' the game, mostly to talk with friends ive made in game & irl, NONE of which have started playing after big bang
@Mibs All games lose popularity over time, it's NOT tied to any one individual- don't try to make it sound like that.
As other games come online with newer graphics and fresher storylines and gameplay people naturally leave older games to play the newer ones.
It's not violent enough for the little 8yr olds who will grow up to kill each other.
mmorpg in america is not a big thing
it only thrives in asian countries since some countries banned consoles
