"failed to execute the game. please check the installation."
Well I heard there was a patch last night, so I just got on and patched today and after it finished patching I clicked on play. But then the thing popped up and said "failed to execute the game. please check the installation."
can someone help please?

this is what i did and worked: restore your system to like 2-3 days ago then open maplestory as you always do (it would patch again)
it seems to be a bug/glitch in the patcher that sometimes screws your maplestory.exe
I did run as administrator it said "unable to log on: logon failure: user account restriction. possible reasons are blank passwords not allowed blah blah" sigh.. I'll try re-dling later :c

Right click gamelauncher and click run as administrator, no redownloading.
you have to run as administrator
Same thing happened to me. You have to re-install maplestory. Then it will be fine~
I tried starting from the site, clicked play and stuff but the thing didn't pop up Q_Q
