Um, magnus takes a lot more skill than gollux. so it depends more on skill. After your experiment a few times youll figure out if you can do it.
And for hard gollux I go up the right arm and just kill that one shoulder, this allows you to attack stationary from the left, outside the range of the pink breath. Meaning your damage is constant and you dont have to dodge any hands, so your time is decreased dramatically.

Well I haven't even done magnus quests yet
And hard gollux I heard I need to be 190 to not miss so... I'm working on it!
i took down hard gollux with an minute to spare with 320k range
It's possible, i did it with my DA at around your range. You just need A LOT of practice and good decision making, and make sure you don't waste your bind because magnus can avoid it when he's about to use the double blaster move or the sword stab. You have bind, enough PDR(leafre set, nether slice, execution), and sustain as a DA to take him down. Theres a video on youtube where a 150k range lumi soloed normal magnus, so that means you can do it too.

I can take down hard gollux at a 500-500k, buffed, without hypers, pretty efficiently. Can't take down normal magnus without my friend :
